“Blockchain is a distributed database that maintains a continuously growing list of records called blocks.” Direct communication without any administering body. Will help reinvent the idea of mobility, effective healthcare, waste management, maintenance of urban environment through the use of sensors, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things and also futuristic technologies like Neuralink which could be termed as Internet of Humans.

1.) Street light gets damaged 2.) Sensor releases an enquiry in the cloud. 3.) Mechanic gets notified and he repairs it. 4.) When the sensor records the correct functioning of light, the amount of the job is released and transferred to the mechanic.

Buildings in our cities have a certain life cycle. The buildings are constructed, destructed and then reconstructed within a very LONG SPAN of time. But Our cities and the lifestyle of people is in a constant change. The way how we divide the city in different land uses is quite rigid. So when it comes to creating an instant extra space or changing the function of space, it becomes really difficult due to the idea of PERMANENCE of built Structures. Look at the density of our Old cities and informal settlements across the city. Cars cannot access the streets, forget about rapid transit.
Ownership model of selling land is the cause. Just because the land is owned by different individuals, the life cycle of a building to get reconstructed varies and city is unable to adapt to futuristic possibilities.

When we look at Indian Cities, the permanence of the haphazard layout of old city area is restricting the idea of change and creating massive inequity amongst citizens. When it comes to provide modern services to them, it becomes difficult for the government to do so. Sometimes a single individual owns multiple land in the heart of the city as a means to invest money and people migrating to cities have to stay in fringes thus increasing unnecessary commute, pollution, expansion of city and depletion of agricultural land.

Learning from the Hotel Industry Can we think of empty building in the center of city as places to live on a rental basis?

Solution lies in forgetting the existing system and agreeing for a massive change. 1.)

Cycles of Nature were always connected until the Human greed came into picture and we started disrupting the the cycle by throwing waste, adding fertilisers, extracting groundwater and many more such examples. Now is the time that we start using technology as a tool for connecting natural cycles.
City should have an Urban living room In the context of retail and mixed-use environments, public spaces have always been central to that elusive thing we call placemaking. They form the beating heart of our communities, defined by edges rich in retail, art, workplace, and entertainment — the enduring spots that consistently provide cultural value.c
The C3 project in Los Angeles, for example, converts the space between an office building and a parking garage into a richly textured tapestry of outdoor spaces, each given an identity tied to familiar themes: kitchen, game room, living room, and so forth.
AN EXTENDED CITY :CITY WITHIN A CITY
The planning of simpliCITY As urban populations grow, life in cities has become dispersed across great distances. What if instead all of the elements of daily life were reachable within a 15-minute walk or bike ride? That’s the premise of the Cellular City — a planning strategy for a city composed of interconnected live-work hubs, characterized by varying density and land uses. Each provides a variety of housing options accessible to a range of income levels, essential services such as medical clinics and schools, and amenities such as parks and recreation spaces. As an alternative to the central business district model, this networked strategy for city development reduces demand on crowded transportation systems — improving quality of life and lowering risk during a pandemic.
Urban Mobility Millions of city dwellers abandoned subways and buses during the pandemic and embraced alternatives such as biking. At the same time, cities responded by closing streets to automobile traffic and expanding space for pedestrians and cyclists. We now have an opportunity to take these measures further: we envision a comprehensive reshaping of city streets to create a bike highway network that would support a new sidewalk economy. More than just an expansion of cycling lanes, the scheme would introduce new streetscape amenities and flexible, indoor-outdoor retail pavilions. The result will expand safe and sustainable mobility and minimize reliance on transit, while creating a more equitable use of public space — returning streets to the people. “Bicycle commuting is another one of those things where if we can use, or respond to, the pandemic with a solution that actually works really well, maybe it’ll stick,”
The whole idea of mobility is to be redefined after the pandemic by massive production of Driverless electric cars (Internet of Things). Use of effective and rapid public transport is going to increase. We think of indian railway stations, without station masters and Ticket collectors. The blockchain technology will redefine the way we commute through public transit.
Healthcare Healthcare institutions are the frontline of a pandemic. Tested in their ability to handle peak volumes of COVID-19 patients, at the same time their ongoing operations were disrupted — many patients in need of treatment and services for conditions unrelated to the pandemic stayed away out of fear of contagion. In the future, design solutions can equip hospitals to maintain the continuity of their operations during times of crisis. We envision hospitals with separate and dedicated entry pavilions, equipping them to handle a pandemic situation in parallel with ongoing treatment and services. Transparent building enclosures and clear wayfinding can help to instill confidence and put patients at ease to seek the care that they need.

Cities should become an artwall for telling stories. Can we build architecture for Communities to interact, engage and foster in public spaces. Commercial Architecture should enable people to get immersed as if they are not just purchasing a product but are a part of a bigger purpose.
