About me

Anastasia Skarlatoudi is a full service interior designer specializing in distinctive commercial and residential projects ranging in scope from the decoration of a single family residence to complete renovations and new construction .

Anastasia firmly believes that successful design must be rooted in the characteristics unique to each project and she works tirelessly to create highly individualized aesthetic results for her clientele. She does not subscribe to a singular style, but rather to a design philosophy which recognizes that no two projects are alike and the most successful designs are achieved through collaboration and innovation. Guided by the goals and aspirations of the client, she approaches each project with a fresh perspective that draws from the past to inspire the present and inform the future.

Interior designer (Hatz group) June 1997- October 2007

(1997-2002)The first 5 years, as a junior/middle designer, main goal was the creation of specialized methods of promotion through design services.

Main responsibilities:

-Give expert bathroom design advice to companys` customers in order to achieve maximum sales

-Enhanced design services by implementing computer software

-Renovate customer's showrooms with new line products

-Provided tile pattern detailing

-Creative bathroom solutions

-Involved in Hatz exhibition stands as a furniture designer.

-Trainning clients to Domus3d software

Achievements: Hatz group-Best exhibition stand award in Infacoma International Exhibition of Construction (Thessaloniki-2000). My contribution to this project was to design all the furniture unites, exclusively for the specific space.Also to promote Domus3d software, to customers as a supportive tool for their business

(2002-2007) In 2002, as a senior designer, I started partly renovations on Porcelana tile showrooms. Later, in 2004, Hatz group expanded its business in big brand name furniture and there was a need for a new flagship store which I had the opportunity to conceptualized succesfully. I continued by doing total renovations to the existing Porcelana showrooms inAthens(2000sqm) and Serres(1050sqm)

Main responsibilities:

-Space planning

-Creating design concepts

-Establishing conceptual design, direction, refine and develop interior design in conjunction with architect, contractors and project manager.

-Ensure that the design team respects all projects deadlines, and monitor the quality of drawings

-Meet regularly with the project manager to discuss design direction, schedule and prioritizing technical and design issues, upcoming meetings and presentations

-FF&E

-Site visits to review framing, lighting, drywall and installation of cabinetry, fixtures, and finish materials as needed.

The real challenge in this project was the combination of big brand name furniture & decorative lighting with tiles & bathroom equipment. It was a difficult combination to be achived with style and the solution was to create a ‘’Theatrical scene’’and atmosphere

This 400m residence has beautiful spaces.The collaboration with the architect and the constractor was excellent and with the owner we worked very close through all stages of the project.

The furniture was mostly from italian brands such as Bonaldo, Ditre italia,Moda`collection, Palluco and the decorative lighting by beby group andTerzani.The custome made, dark grey sofa, was dressed by Designers Quild textiles.

A35 year old penthhouse transformed into a contemporary apartment with all the necessary facilities for a young couple needs.Actually, there were no major changes, reworked some of the walls, but no heavy construction.

A psychiatrist`s office 2010

Ayoung Psyhologist hired me to turn a 30 sqm open plan in a double room office. It was a real challenge to work in a so small space and try to cover all necessary functions. After a small research in the internet I found a Freud`s essay about how a psychiatric office should be organized and as a plus I found Freud`s sketch of his medical office I discussed it with my client and after some adjustments I was ready to proceed with my final drawings.

2009

EQUIPE activates in the market of bathroom equipment and decoration offering specialized solutions to equip an inspired bathroom.

Established in October 2005

In 2009 I was hired to design and organize their first participation in Infacoma

The true ispiration for this project was the client. His studies as a sculpturist affected his work as a couturier. Just like a sculpturist his creations are not made for a season but for a lifetime. And which is the most eternal material?

Orthodox Church

Since the Byzantium empire the Greek orthodox churches are still keeping the same architecture.

Our goal is to design a contemporary Orthodox church but with respect to all the rules and principles of the Orthodox tradition.

The form of our construction refers to Crusifiction of Jesus.

The Cross, His body and the 3 nails to His body

The 3 red ‘’nails’’are the bell towers of the church, each of one for different occasion all together for the biggest celebration, the ressurection of Jesus.

Acommercial area in the Eastern District of NewYork will be transformed into a residential area. My client is the famous Colombian novelist Gabriel Garcia Marquez who bought an old warehouse to be his new house and I was commissioned to do the remodeling and renovation.

KARAG is a purely Greek company which was founded and based in Serres, Greece since 1996. It deals exclusively with the wholesale of a complete range of home and hotel bathroom equipment. It has stateof-the-art privately owned facilities of 25,000 square meters in Sindos, Thessaloniki, while the production of bath and shower cabins

The design objective is offering not only a meeting point for customers but also an extension of the brand essence. Set the mood and enrich the commercial experience through architectural and functional details.

The client is a 11 year old child who lloves trucks and cars.

It is a team project with Garima Bathia who made the 3d. Our goal was to make an enviroment in which we had to match the practical needs of a child with his love for cars and trucks.
