BOUTIQUE CRUISING Dear Clients, I am very proud and pleased to be able to present you our first ever dedicated cruise brochure. Here at Anatolian Sky we have been arranging quality holidays since 1989 Since the very beginning, one of our most popular holidays has been a gulet cruise, exploring Turkey’s azure waters on an authentic wooden sailing boat. When we added Croatia to our programme we naturally thought that our clients would love the Adriatic Cruise experience and we were not wrong. Adriatic cruises have proved to be a huge hit. In this collection, we have added an even bigger choice of small ships than ever before. For a few years, we have been thinking about the idea of bringing all of our cruise holidays together in one brochure. What tipped the balance was meeting the lovely family who own and run Variety Cruises. This company offers worldwide cruises on small, friendly ships, and their attitude to personalised service mirrors our own. We have called our collection of cruise holidays ‘boutique cruises’. This is because they have been carefully chosen to reflect the attributes which our clients value on dry land - excellent service; a warm, friendly welcome; intimate ambience; authentic atmosphere and comfortable accommodation. Our cruises operate all year round. During the summer months we have an amazing choice of Mediterranean cruises to our favourite destinations, cruising Turkish, Greek and Croatian waters, and more besides. Choose from traditional gulets or small ships. For those who like to seek warmer climes during the winter months, we have a selection of exotic destinations including the Canaries, Cuba and the Seychelles. I hope you enjoy browsing our boutique cruise collection and we look forward to welcoming you on an Anatolian Sky cruise in 2016.

THE
BOUTIQUE CRUISING CONCEPT
Relaxed and friendly cruises for people who like to discover new places, unwind and enjoy good company Our most popular hotels are those which offer a warm welcome, friendly service, and comfortable accommodation, without losing their sense of identity and authenticity. It is exactly this attraction which we have tried to replicate in our new boutique cruising collection. This is the opposite of big ship cruising. You won’t feel like you are lost in the crowd, rather that you can enjoy your own individual experience. You certainly won’t need a dinner jacket here - the dress code is casual and relaxed and the atmosphere is always relaxed and friendly.
Our vessels and itineraries We offer many different types of boats and small ships, and try to describe the differences between them in as much detail as possible. If anything is not clear, do feel free to ask our friendly and informative staff. Our itineraries vary enormously - check the individual pages for details. Whether you spend the night in harbour or at sea, when you do go ashore you will be free to spend your time as you wish. Gulets and small ships are able to visit bays which may be inaccessible by land, and anchor in places which larger cruise ships could never reach.
BOUTIQUE CRUISING
Real free-time
6
Our guests always say that swimming off the gulet or ship in a pristine bay is one of the highlights of their holiday. Nothing beats the pleasure of clear, calm waters away from the crowds and away from the shore. Some of our vessels also have snorkelling equipment on board for you to enjoy. All of our gulets and small ships have spacious sun decks which are the perfect place to soak up the sun as you enjoy the views. Lie back and simply watch the world go by. Read a book or chat with new - or old - friends. It is hard to find a more relaxing holiday experience!
New experiences Our boutique cruises are definitely for those who have a sense of curiosity and like to explore new places. We know that our clients appreciate enjoying new experiences and getting to meet new friends. This is the perfect environment to relax, kick back and enjoy the views, whilst surrounded by like-minded company.
Highest possible standards As with our hotels, we only offer accommodation on board which matches our exacting standards. It is always clean, comfortable and offers the best possible standards within its class. Friendly, warm hospitality always comes as standard. We only work with small ships and boats which share our values. We don’t bill our cruises as being luxurious since we know that different people have different concepts of what this might mean. Instead we prefer to describe the facilities on board in as much detail as possible. Certainly, we are confident that you will be comfortable and always have an air-conditioned cabin with your own private en suite facilities.
Year-round destinations Our cruises operate all year round. In the summer, there is nowhere better than the Mediterranean, with its relaxed culture, clear turquoise waters and warm climate, where we offer a variety of popular destinations, with a focus on Turkey, Greece and Croatia and many of our itineraries visit more than one country. See pages 10-37 for our Mediterranean cruises. We also offer worldwide cruises to the Seychelles, the Canary Islands, Cuba and Costa Rica, some of which operate all year-round. See pages 38-47 for details.

Mealtimes on board are sure to be a highlight, with laid-back dining the time to chat and make new friends. On board our gulets, the food tends to be salads, accompanied by freshly-cooked meat or fish prepared by the crew. On our small ships we have a dedicated resident chef, and mealtimes are more sophisticated, although often al fresco. Everyone eats at the same time, and the atmosphere is relaxed. Check individual boat and itinerary descriptions to see exactly what is included in your chosen cruise.

OUR FRIENDLY
SMALL SHIPS & GULETS Welcome to life on board, where relaxation is the order of the day What better way to combine exploration and adventure with peaceful contemplation. All that remains is for you to decide which of our types of vessel is right for you:
Variety Cruises Small Ships This family-run company has been operating cruises since 1949, offering friendly cruises to professional, international standards. There are usually around 50 passengers on board providing an intimate, informal ambience. You will dock and stay overnight in small ports, allowing you to explore on land, as well as relaxing at sea. Standards of service are high and there is a strong focus on guest satisfaction. Meals on board are a highlight. The cruise itineraries on these small ships often take in more than one country. Standards are the same of slightly above our Croatian small ships. Comfortable cabins are air-conditioned and have private en suite shower and WC. Please check the individual pages for details, but broadly speaking these cruises are offered on full board basis, with buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner included. Filter coffee, tea and drinking water are available free of charge throughout the day. Shore excursions are optional and can be booked at additional cost. Wifi is also subject to an additional charge.
Croatian Small Ships We work with locally owned vessels in Croatia, which fall into two different categories to cater for varying budgets. Both provide excellent levels of stylish comfortable accommodation for you on your Adriatic cruise holiday. The A+ category ships do not include some of the extras available in the Deluxe category, making them more cost-effective
SMALL SHIPS & GULETS
Deluxe Category
8
We offer a number of different small ships in this category, some of which are named and some of which are allocated according to your dates of travel. The ships in this category are comfortable, with fully air-conditioned cabins and there is also a wider range of services and facilities included in the price of your holiday than in the A+ cruises. Check the individual pages for details, but broadly speaking these include an English breakfast, and three course lunch with complimentary water during meals. Wi-fi internet access is available and some cruises include excursions.
A+ Category
These ships are not as luxurious as our deluxe category cruisers but are still comfortable. All cabins are air-conditioned with private en suite shower and WC. English breakfast and a three course lunch are also included in the cost of your holiday. All excursions are subject to an additional charge.
What is a Gulet? Gulets are traditional Turkish motor yachts, which are beautifully crafted from wood. They have a spacious sundeck, perfect for soaking up the sun and admiring the views as you cruise the clear waters of the Aegean and Mediterranean. Anatolian Sky Holidays only works with good quality gulets. We offer you a choice of booking a holiday on our exclusive gulet, Semercioglu IV, which can only be booked by Anatolian Sky clients, or booking one of our itineraries on a shared gulet, with a more cosmopolitan clientele.
Our Authentic Gulets
Our Itineraries
Please note that these itineraries are published for guidance only. The final itinerary is decided by the captain according to the weather and other prevailing conditions - if he sees that a favoured bay is already in use, for example, he may choose to moor elsewhere. What to bring
• Swimwear, casual wear and bare feet are the order of the day when on board. • By nature of the design, space is limited so it is best not to bring too much with you and a soft holdall is recommended instead of a rigid suitcase. • Sheets are provided as is one towel for your cabin although not swimming towels. Children
We don’t usually recommend booking children under the age of 7 on to any of our cruises. Variety Cruises and our Adriatic cruises are happy to accept children over this age on board. Gulets, however, don’t usually allow children on board and our gulets have age limits varying between 14 and 16 years of age, for how they classify a child. Please ask if you would like further details. Semercioglu IV will accept children in a private hire group, if you are renting the entire gulet, providing there are no more than 3 children in the group in total.

SMALL SHIPS & GULETS
Our gulets have from 7-16 guest cabins. All cabins are equipped with air conditioning and en suite facilities including WC, hand basin and shower. Air conditioning cannot be operated whilst gulets are in harbour and will usually be on for up to 3 hours per day. This is usually timed so that it is on for 2 hours whilst guests shower and change for dinner and 1 hour to cool the cabin before guests retire for bed. Please note that the vast majority of cabins have double beds, so if you really want twin beds you must make this clear at the time of booking, and it may not be possible to guarantee.

MEDITERRANEAN CRUISING DESTINATIONS
Summer cruises in these crystal-clear waters offer a wealth of breath-taking scenery and fascinating history The Mediterranean is at the heart of some of our most fascinating civilisations - ancient Greece, the Roman Empire, Byzantium‌ It is bordered by some of our favourite countries such as Greece, Turkey and Croatia, offering glittering coastlines with myriad islands, hidden coves and inviting bays. Browse through our fascinating itineraries taking in the treasures of the Adriatic and the Aegean. Choose whether you want your cruise to focus on Croatia, Greece or Turkey. We even go as far as Montenegro or Albania, taking in more than one country on some of our small ship cruises. You can choose whether you prefer a small and friendly gulet, or whether you would prefer the higher standards offered by our small ship cruising. We also offer different standards of ship to match different budgets and expectations. Take in magnificent cities such as Dubrovnik and Split or cruise around tiny islands. Decide whether you prefer to spend more time on shore, with the possibility of dining out in local restaurants in the evening, or whether you prefer the timelessness of nights at sea, moored in idyllic bays, lying on deck under the stars. Some of our cruises offer the possibility of optional sightseeing tours on land, others concentrate simply on getting away from it all and admiring the stunning vistas from the deck. Our Mediterranean cruises take place throughout the summer months, when the climate is at its best and the waters are at their calmest.
MEDITERRANEAN
If you would like more information about any of the countries which we feature you can visit our website www.anatoliansky.co.uk or request a copy of our dedicated brochures for Turkey and North Cyprus; Croatia and Slovenia or the Greek Islands.

The mythical Greek Islands, with their rich history and breath-taking scenery, call to mind the romanticism of Homer and the bravery of the ancient heroes. Choose from authentic gulets or our more luxurious small ships. You can combine the Greek mainland and islands with Turkey just across the water if you wish. You can even visit the magnificent cities of Athens and Istanbul. The choice is yours! See pages 22-29 for more details.

Shared Gulet Holidays Authentic gulets offering greater flexibility This year, we have decided to offer a different type of gulet cruise. Many of you have told us that you wish to try new itineraries. Previously, we have always offered gulets which are exclusive to Anatolian Sky. In 2016, we will still continue this tradition with Semercioglu IV. However, we are also working with one of Turkey’s oldest established cruising and sailing companies based in Bodrum, to offer you a wide choice of different gulet cruises. This way we hope you will experience more flexibility and choice as well as better value, whilst also maintaining our own high standards.
Turkish coastline & Greek Island itineraries Rather than being allocated to a specific gulet at the time of booking, you will choose your itinerary from the following pages - we have two fantastic itineraries, cruising the Turkish waters in the Gulf of Hisarönü and Gulf of Gökova. What is even more exciting, however, is the itineraries which cruise around the Greek Islands, allowing you the opportunity to explore further afield. You can choose from the North or the South Dodecanese islands.
Our shared gulets
TURKISH GULETS
The gulets in the fleet are all different - some are more contemporary in style, others more traditional - but they all offer a good standard of accommodation and facilities. All have airconditioned cabins and an en suite shower (air-conditioning is in use up to 8 hours per day.) Four of the gulets in the fleet: M/S Hera, M/S Harmonia, M/S Semele and the ‘mega gulet’ M/S B&B all had a complete refit and refurbishment in 2015. The gulets have between 7 and 16 cabins, and usually have 4 crew members on board to take care of your needs during your holiday. We will be happy to tell you more about the facilities of each gulet and will let you know once a gulet has been allocated to the date and itinerary which you have booked. All of your meals will be served on board, freshly prepared by the crew, and will include Turkish & Greek Cuisine. You will find that mealtimes are all part of the fun of your holiday, as you make new friends, of all different nationalities. Please note: no children under the age of 12 are allowed on our shared gulet holidays. As with all gulet holidays, the captain reserves the absolute right to vary the itinerary according to prevailing weather conditions and any other factors which he considers to be important.

From Platanos you can take the 300 steps leading up the Castle of Leros. Day 4: Patmos. We will leave early in the morning for the cruise to Patmos Island, where we will enjoy a swim. Patmos is not a big island, but it is renowned for the fact that it was here that St. John completed the last part of 'The Apocalypse of John'. St. John’s Monastery towers above the capital, a village called Chora, and is built on the site of the ancient Temple of Artemis. According to mythology, Patmos was a present from Zeus to his daughter Artemis, goddess of hunting and young women. You may choose to have an optional tour of the island, or explore independently. Our yacht will stay in Patmos Port for dinner and overnight. Day 5: Lipsi. We will set sail to the island of Lipsi, where we will have a swimming break on one of the tiny islands which surround it. Lipsi is well known for its beautiful, sandy beaches, such as Platis and Giolos with their crystal-clear waters. The capital with its white houses, numerous taverns, cafeterias and restaurants is located in the small natural port. It is well worth visiting the Church of the Catopanaghia constructed in the 7th century, along with the 15th century Church of Panopanaghia. Day 6: Kalymnos. Enjoy a swimming break in one of the beautiful bays around Kalymnos Island, before entering its capital, Pothia Harbour. The islanders here lived off sponge-diving for many centuries. The island boasts many nice beaches such as Massouri, Mirties and Vlyhadia. Day 7: Akvaryum - Bodrum. Returning to Turkish waters, we will have a swimming break at the beautiful waters of Akvaryum (Aquarium) where you can see the fish swimming below you in the clear waters . We will be staying at Bodrum Harbor for dinner and our final overnight stay. Day 8: Bodrum. After breakfast, leave the boat by 10.30am for your transfer to the airport and flight back to the UK.

Day 1: Bodrum. Boarding starts from 15:30 from Bodrum Harbour. On the first day, our boat will remain anchored in Bodrum Port for dinner and overnight. Day 2: Kos (Cos). After breakfast, you will be given some information about the cruise itinerary and the boat. After the customs formalities are completed, we will cruise to the island of Kos. Kos is the second largest of the 12 Dodecanese islands, and is home to the famous Asclepion, the medical school of Hippocrates, where sick people from across the region were treated in ancient times. You may wish to take a quick swim at Lambi Beach which is very close to Kos Harbor. Kos is also renowned for its nightlife, centred around the colourful street of Nafklirou. Day 3: Nisyros - Symi. Early in the morning we will cruise to the island of Nisyros, where we will enjoy a swimming break. The volcano on Nisyros Island erupted in 1422 and is still active. Nikea village is located on the side of the crater, with its picturesque white streets and mosaic-style square. You can take an optional bus tour to the volcano crater, which is still active, where you will see the underground gases escaping. We will anchor at Symi Port late in the afternoon, with its neo-classical houses surrounded by pine and oak forests. Day 4: Rhodes. We will cruise to Rhodes early in the morning. Rhodes is the largest of the Dodecanese Islands one of the most popular. It is renowned for its well-preserved Medieval walled city. Rhodes has been significant for many civilisations; starting with the knights of St. John in the Middle Ages, and followed by the Ottomans and Italians. Here you can join our optional old city tour. The main port of Rhodes is Rhodes Town which bears the same name as the island. The other popular areas of Rhodes island are Lindos and Kamiros. After dinner, we highly recommend that you enjoy a night out in Rhodes Town soaking up the atmosphere of the narrow streets. Day 5: Datca - Kargi. We return to Turkish waters via Datca. Datca was founded by the Dorians who came from the Aegean Sea to the southern coast of Ionia in the 7th century B.C. The island has no humidity at all and has fresh air with plenty of oxygen. There is a legend, that as Spanish pirates passed by the coast of Datca, they abandoned people with Hansen's disease in Sariliman Bay and that these people recovered from their disease with the help of the clean weather of Datca. You can take the opportunity for a promenade in Datca Harbour. Our last stop will be Kargı Bay for dinner and overnight. Day 6: Inceburun - Palamutbuku - Knidos. We will start to sail towards Inceburun, where we will have breakfast and a swimming break. After that we will cruise to Palamutbükü for lunch and more swimming. We will cruise to Cnidus (Knidos) for dinner and an overnight stay. Cnidus was a renowned ancient city, known for its science, art and architecture and home to scientists and artists including Sostrates, the architect of the Alexandrian light house -one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Dr. Euryphon and his students founded the ancient world’s second biggest medical science school in Cnidus and the island was also home to the largest sun clock of its time which was erected by Eudoksos, and to a famous monument to Aphrodite. You can take a walk on the shore to visit the ruins. Day 7: Black Island - Poyraz Harbour - Bodrum. Early morning start to Karaada (Black Island), where we will enjoy breakfast and a swimming break at Poyraz Bay which is located on the northern side of the island. We will dock in Bodrum Harbour for dinner and an overnight stay. Day 8: Bodrum. After breakfast, leave the boat by 10.30am for your transfer to the airport and flight back to the UK. Private Gulet Hire For the ultimate gulet holiday, hire an entire gulet for your own private cruise. It may well work out to be more cost effective than you think! Seyhan Hanna
There is nothing more relaxing than a gulet holiday. You can simply lie back, soak up the sun and enjoy the views, knowing that the captain and crew are taking care of all your needs... Our gulet holidays are so popular that many people return year after year. Although for lots of our guests, making new friends is all part of the fun, we find that others are drawn to the concept of private hire. What this means is that you decide to book the entire gulet, and all of the cabins on it for your friends and family. Of course, the captain and crew will still be there to take care of the running of the gulet and the catering, but there will be no other paying guests on board. Our gulets range from 7-16 cabins, so simply by combining a few families or getting together with a group of friends, you may well find that it is not only more fun but also better value for money if you hire the entire gulet for the week. The only other people on board will be the captain and crew, so you will have more freedom and flexibility. Most people prefer to stick to the itineraries we have described in the brochure, but it should be perfectly possible to make small changes in discussion with the captain. It is always best to discuss with us at the time of booking to ensure that what you have in mind is feasible. Please note: the prices below are based on Semercioglu IV but we can also book private hire on some of the gulets we have chartered in the past such as Seyhan Jan - plus new for 2016 Seyhan Hanna - as well as on any of the gulets which we use for shared occupancy, enabling us to also offer Greek Islands cruises. Have a chat with our knowledgeable reservations team to find out the possibilities and get a quotation for your party.

Gulet Cruise & Stay Combining a week-long gulet cruise with a 7 night stay in one of our authentic beach resorts makes for a truly relaxing holiday Taking a cruise on a traditional Turkish gulet is a wonderful way of exploring the coast. You can visit tiny villages, unspoiled bays and charming islands, many of which can only be accessed from the sea. You also have the opportunity to swim in the clear waters of the Mediterranean and South Aegean, away from the crowds. Life on board is unhurried and relaxed and a gulet cruise is a time for making new friends and enjoying the opportunity to spend time with old ones. Soak up the sun and enjoy the relaxed pace of life on board, sharing meals al fresco and lazy evenings at sea or in harbour. Many of our guests decide that one week in Turkey is simply not enough, and choose to spend the week after their gulet cruise staying in one of our charming beach resorts. This makes for a great holiday combination.
Cruise & stay combinations We have put together some of our most popular cruise and stay combinations, offering convenient transfers between the gulet cruise and your chosen hotel. Of course, if you prefer, you can swap around the order and spend a week in a hotel first and then take a gulet cruise. It is best for you to select a gulet itinerary from the preceding pages and then select a hotel depending on the starting/ finishing point of the cruise. The prices on this pages are based on the following combinations: • Gulet cruises starting or finishing in Fethiye, combined with a stay at the Ece Saray Hotel in Fethiye (see page 50 of our Turkey 2016 brochure) • Gulet cruises starting or finishing in Marmaris, combined with a stay at the Merve Han in Akyaka (see page 69 of our Turkey 2016 brochure) • Gulet cruises starting or finishing in Datça, combined with a stay at The Asina Hotel (see page 85 of our Turkey 2016 brochure)

Our full day optional excursion brings us to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Trinidad, a Spanish colonial settlement once built on huge sugar fortunes. AITO is the Association for independent and specialist companies. Our member 5008 companies, usually ownermanaged, strive to create overseas holidays with high levels of professionalism and a shared concern for quality and personal service. The association encourages the highest standards in all aspects of tour operating. Exclusive membership AITO sets criteria regarding ownership, finance and quality which must be satisfied before new companies are admitted to membership. All members are required to adhere to a Code of Business Practice which encourages high operational standards and conduct. Financial security An AITO member is required to protect money paid by customers to the member for any holiday sold under the AITO logo. This protection applies to customers who are in the UK at the time of booking or to overseas customers who have booked directly with the member. Members have to comply with UK Government Regulations in this respect. Members submit details of their bonding or guarantee arrangements to the Association on a regular basis. Accurate brochures and websites All members do their utmost to ensure that all their brochures and other publications, print or electronic, clearly and accurately describe the holidays and services offered.
Brochure images: We would like to credit Mr Akin Koç, Variety Cruises, shutterstock.com & dollarphotoclub.com for the use of images in this brochure.
Professional service and continual improvements All members are committed to high standards of service and believe in regular and thorough training of employees. Members continually seek to review and improve their holidays. They listen to their customers and always welcome suggestions for improving standards. Monitoring standards AITO endeavours to monitor quality standards regularly. All customers should receive a post-holiday questionnaire the results of which are scrutinised by the Association. Responsible tourism All members acknowledge the importance of AITO’s Responsible Tourism guidelines, which recognise the social, economic and environmental responsibilities of tour operating. Those demonstrating their achievements beyond the pure acceptance of this principle are recognised by the award of 2 or 3 star status. Customer relations All members endeavour to deal swiftly and fairly with any issues their customers may raise. In the unlikely event that a dispute between an AITO member and a customer cannot be settled amicably, AITO’s lowcost Independent Dispute Settlement Service may be called upon by either side to bring the matter to a speedy and acceptable conclusion.

General information Visas/Passports
Personal expenses on board
All passport-holders must hold a full passport in order to travel. Some countries, such as Turkey, require a full 6 months validity on your passport, following the date of travel. Some destinations (including Turkey) require that British passport-holders obtain a visa prior to travel. Although we will do our best to advise you of any visa requirements which apply to your trip please note that it is your responsibility to have a valid passport and the correct visa for your holiday if necessary. Anatolian Sky cannot be held responsible if you do not travel because of incorrect visa or passport. Any name change through marriage must be notified immediately and before tickets are issued. The name on your flight tickets and other documentation must match exactly those on your passport otherwise you may not be allowed to travel. Please check your travel documents as soon as you receive them and inform us immediately if anything is incorrect.
Some of our cruises offer a drinks package which can be booked in advance or on arrival, others offer an optional credit service so that drinks can be paid for at the end of the cruise. Different currencies may be used on board, and not all vessels are able to accept card payments. Please do check before travelling.
Transfers
There may be a ticket on departure charge for bookings made within 14 days of departure. You will be advised of the charge at the time of booking.
You will be transferred to/from the airport by car/ taxi or minibus and on some occasions by coach to your small ship or gulet. We can also arrange private transfers on request. Please note: the transfer times given in our brochures are shown for guidance only and do not take into account the time it may take to drop off other guests at their accommodation en route to your own. Also, although all our brochure prices include transfers, if you book online on our website you have to select your transfers during the booking process to include them in your package.
Arrival/Departure times You will usually have to be on board your cruise vessel at least 2 hours prior to departure in order to participate in any safety briefings and receive any necessary information from the crew. Usually, you need to vacate your vessel immediately after breakfast at the end of the cruise. It will not be possible to stay on board longer, as vessels need to be cleaned and prepared for the new arrivals. Depending on flight and cruise departure/ arrival times, we can arrange for you to stay an additional night in port before or after your cruise.
Assistance whilst on your cruise holiday Whilst you are on your cruise, the first person to speak to in case of any problems is a member of the crew, which is likely to be the captain of a gulet or the cruise co-ordinator on one of our small ship cruises. In some countries we have our own local representatives (eg Turkey, Croatia, Montenegro, Greece) and in others, the cruise company will act as our local representative. You will be given a telephone number contact with your holiday itinerary. If any problems are not resolved to your satisfaction, please ensure that you contact this number so that we are made aware of any issues and have an opportunity to resolve them for you.
Accommodation on board Safety standards are as laid down by the country where the boat or ship is registered and their regulatory bodies and you should take any necessary precautions. On most of our gulets and small ships air-conditioning is only in operation at certain times of the year and/or at set times of the day.
Passengers with special needs or limited mobility Unfortunately, none of our small ships or gulets is suitable for passengers who require the use of a wheelchair, as cabins and gangways are simply too small to accommodate all types of wheelchair. If you have difficulty in walking or any other special needs please ask our friendly reservations team before booking to see whether the particular type of cruise you have in mind will be suitable for your needs. It is especially tricky to get on and off our authentic gulets, so these holidays are not recommended for those who are not fully mobile.
Special dietary requirements Similarly, if you have any special dietary requirements please let us know about them before booking. It may not be possible to accommodate these on gulets, due to the very small kitchen and storage facilities, but is more likely to be possible on our larger vessels. Again, please do check with our experienced team before booking, as they may recommend that any specific preferred/ required foods are brought with you.
Children on board our cruises None of our cruises are recommended for children under 7 years of age, and some won’t accept children under the age of 14 or 16. Since regulations vary according to the individual cruise operator or vessel, it is essential that if you have children travelling in your party you inform our reservations team at the time of booking, so that they can check whether your preferred cruise is suitable for your party. Please check at the time of booking for any applicable child reductions, which usually only apply when a child is sharing a cabin with two full fare-paying adults, on larger vessels.
INFORMATION
None of our cruises have doctors or nurses on board. In case of emergency the vessel will be taken to the nearest port where you will be given assistance to find appropriate medical attention.
Last Minute Bookings
Flight Information - Flexible Flights We are delighted to offer our clients complete flexibility by offering a choice of regional airports and a full range of flight options which allows us to offer a bespoke service and enables us to personalise a package to suit your needs. Please visit our web site: www.anatoliansky.co.uk or call our friendly reservations team who will be able to give you the most up to date information and find your perfect holiday. Here is a summary of some of the differences between the flights which we are able to offer: Scheduled flights allow great levels of flexibility and high standards of service. They include meals and most drinks are complimentary. Please ask when booking about flight upgrades. Charter flights We can offer charter flights from every UK airport to Turkey. Although charter flights can be restricted with durations, nowadays more frequent flights are available, which allows us to be more flexible with the durations which we offer. Please be aware, however, that some charter flights do not allow you to pre-allocate seats, or check-in online and we may have to book your meal on an on request basis. Please ask at the time of booking to confirm what is included in your flight, e.g. flight meals/luggage allowance etc. and if you are able or required to pre-book extras like meals, extra leg-room etc. Low-cost airlines Low-cost airlines when booked in advance can often offer the most competitive prices. These airlines do not include in-flight meals or drinks and baggage will need to be prebooked and paid in advance.
Special Requests Special requests may be made prior to travel. Whilst we endeavour to meet them, unfortunately they are not guaranteed. Under no circumstances will they be accepted by us to form part of our contractual obligations and we will not accept any liability if they are not met. We are happy to give our advice and opinions about particular properties. All requests should be made in writing.
Shore excursions Please check at the time of booking to make sure that you understand which shore excursions are or are not included in the cost of your holiday, as this varies from one itinerary to another. Optional shore excursions may only operate subject to minimum numbers and/or prevailing weather or other local conditions.
Tipping Tips & gratuities are not included in the cost of your holiday. Although at guests’ discretion, tips are usually expected to be given on cruise holidays, and are usually distributed amongst the crew. Please ask for details of expected levels of tips related to your chosen vessel and itinerary.
Included in your Holiday Cost • Return flights and baggage allowance as shown on your ticket • On scheduled flights: complimentary drinks including alcoholic drinks • Return transfer from airport to your cruise vessel • Accommodation and meals as detailed in our brochure • Airport Taxes and UK departure tax (APD £5) • £2.50 per person as part of the ATOL Protection Contribution (APC) we pay to the CAA Please note: In the unlikely event of any significant future increase in fuel costs being passed on to us by the airline, we reserve the right pass it on to you as a fuel surcharge. Please see our booking conditions opposite.
Not Included in your Holiday Cost
Please travel as lightly as possible as there is limited storage space in cabins. In general, soft bags are easier to stow in your cabin than hard suitcases. The dress code on board is relaxed, so casual clothes are recommended with plenty of swimwear. Don’t forget to bring a jumper or cardigan for cooler evenings at sea. On gulets you will not usually wear shoes on board. In all cases comfortable walking shoes are recommended for time spent on shore. Swimming towels are not usually provided. Please check this at the time of booking.
• Holiday insurance, which is a requirement and a condition of booking with us (See page 49) • Transport from your home to airport of departure • Entry visa fees where applicable • Optional excursions and tours • Drinks, extra meals & personal expenses • Any tips or gratuities • If you pay for your holiday by credit card then please note that the following charges will apply: • Visa or Mastercard 2%, American Express 4%.There is no charge for payment by debit cards. • Any Flight supplements
Electricity on board
Public Holidays
Electric sockets on board are usually those which require 2 pin, European-style plugs or plug adaptors and the voltage is usually 220 volts. If you are planning to take any electric appliances with you, it is worthwhile checking whether or not you will be able to use these on board and/ or in your own cabin.
Although public holidays or other local celebrations should not affect your time on board or the services which are available, it may mean that certain local attractions are closed. If this is likely to have an impact on your enjoyment of your holiday please check to see if any local public holidays are taking place during your holiday.
Internet access
Data Protection
Some of our larger vessels do offer internet access for those travelling with their own laptop, but this is usually at a cost. Sometimes, telephone calls can be made from the bridge but these are usually relatively expensive. Please check at the time of booking if this is important to your enjoyment of your holiday.
Any information which is held by us about you will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent. We may from time to time inform you of special offers and send you our new brochures. If you do not wish to be included on our mailing list, please let us know in writing and we will remove your address from it.
Safety requirements
Brochure Content
You will be given safety information by the captain and crew when you embark and it is vital that you follow this at all times. On larger vessels there may be an emergency drill scheduled to take place before the ship sails. This must be attended be all passengers.
At the time of going to press (January 2016), we feel that we have presented a fair and accurate description of resorts, boats/ ships and accommodation. Please bear in mind that many facilities on board are not under our direct control, and could be withdrawn or re-introduced. Although we try to ensure that brochure pictures are as accurate as possible at the time of going to print, it is possible that changes will occur to the accommodation or surrounding area, which mean that they may look different by the time you travel. Interior shots, and especially those of individual cabins, are used for illustrative purposes only. Cabins can differ quite considerably in aspect so you should not necessarily expect your cabin to look exactly the same as a room shown in the brochure.
Luggage and clothing
Valuables It is not recommended that you take valuables on board our cruises. If you do so, this is at your own risk. Some of our larger vessels offer in-cabin safety deposit boxes and/ or offer a service where the captain can deposit your valuables in the ship’s safe. Please check for details.

We will provide you with the services listed on the ATOL Certificate (or a suitable alternative). In some cases, where we aren’t able do so for reasons of insolvency, an alternative ATOL holder may provide you with the services you have bought or a suitable alternative (at no extra cost to you). It is a simple and inexpensive method of arbitration on documents alone with restricted liability on you for costs. The upper limit on claims is £5,000 per person and £25,000 per booking form. The scheme doesn’t apply to claims which are solely in respect of physical injury or illness or their consequences. It can however deal with claims which include an element of minor injury or illness subject to a limit of £1,500 on the amount the arbitrator can award per person in respect of this element. Your request for arbitration must be received by ABTA within eighteen months of the date of return from holiday. INFORMATION
(iii) Changes in transportation costs, including the cost of fuel, dues, taxes or fees chargeable for services such as landing taxes, embarkation or disembarkation fees at ports and airports and exchange rates mean that the price of your travel arrangements may change after you have booked. However, there will be no change within 30 days of your departure. We will absorb and you will not be charged for any increase equivalent to 2% of the price of your travel arrangements, which excludes insurance premiums and any amendment charges. You will be charged for the amount over and above that, plus an administration charge of £1.00 per person together with an amount to cover agents’ commission. If this means that you have to pay an increase of more than 10% of the price of your travel arrangements, you will have the option of accepting a change to another holiday if we are able to offer one (if this is of equivalent or higher quality you will not have to pay more but if it is of lower quality you will be refunded the difference in price) or cancelling and receiving a full refund of all monies paid, except for any amendment charges. We will consider an appropriate refund of insurance premiums paid if you can show that you are unable to transfer or reuse your policy. Should you decide to cancel for this reason, you must exercise your right to do so within 14 days from the issue date printed on your final invoice. Should the price of your holiday go down due to the changes mentioned above, by more than 2% of your holiday cost, then any refund due will be paid to you. However, please note that travel arrangements are not always purchased in local currency and some apparent changes have no impact on the price of your travel due to contractual and other protection in place.
