Mount Pelion rises between the Pagasetic gulf and the Aegean sea, northeast of Volos. It is comprised of more than 40 villages with residences of unique architecture, wonderful slate-paved little roads, historical churches and absolutely blooming nature. The entire mountain of the Centaurs is covered in forestland with beech trees, oak trees, horse-chestnut trees, plane trees, pine trees and fir trees, with scenic trails and beautiful beaches that are the county’s hallmark, while the area also boasts a highly developed tourist infrastructure.
