Andelli Art is delighted to present an online exhibition of paintings by Stuart McHarrie.
Stuart lives in Greenwich, South East London and studied fine art at Central St Martins. He has worked as an artist, art director and illustrator throughout his career, but over the past decade has focused his attention on producing paintings.
Stuart splits his time between London and Sandgate and now predominantly paints Seascapes along with some portraiture and still lifes.
His work is inspired by the inanimate object within landscape – the juxtaposition of solid concrete walls, buildings and structures set against the flatness of the beach and sea. Working in oil and acrylic, he creates sharp delineation within his narrow colour palette, yet allowing the paint to leak and infiltrate the surrounding surfaces.
Stuart has exhibited at the New English Art Club along with many group shows and open studios.
His paintings have been acquired by numerous private collections around the world.
