To parcipate, visit the children’s area at either library any me Fridays and Saturdays November 13 through April 30. If you see any birds at the bird feeders, idenfy them with our aids or the Merlin app, then write down your findings. At the end of each week, library staff will report your sighngs to Cornell University’s Lab of Ornithology. That data tell sciensts about changes in bird abundance and distribuon across the United States and Canada, like where birds are and where they are not. This crucial informaon enables sciensts to piece together accurate populaon maps and idenfy species that might be at risk. If you want more educaonal at-home acvies, you can find Cornell Lab’s free K-12 resources online at www.birds.cornell.edu/k12

Teens and their families can request the Gambrell Teen Room at the Anderson Main Library for up to 2 hours. Relax, play games, work on school projects, and more opons are available. For quesons or to request, email teens@andersonlibrary.org.
