Meet Author Mariana Ríos Ramírez Tue, Nov 15 • 6:30p • Anderson Mariana Ríos Ramírez will be at the Anderson Main Library for her debut children’s book, San�ago’s Dinosaurios, on Tuesday, November 15 at 6:30 p.m. Inspired by her son’s love of dinosaurs and his experience when the family moved from Mexico to the United States, “San�ago’s Dinosaurios” is a story of perseverance, crea�vity, and friendship. Families can enjoy dinosaur-themed ac�vi�es and purchase books to be signed by the author. Mariana Ríos Ramírez is a Mexican author who lives in Anderson with her husband, two kids and a Chihuahua mix dog named Rogers. She is passionate about wri�ng stories for children about diversity, kindness, and that can inspire posi�ve feelings and dreams. “I hope that by reading this book, children who are going through the same struggles as San�ago will see themselves in the story,” says Ríos Ramírez. “I want them to know that they are not alone; that it will take �me and hard work but they will eventually be able to communicate and make friends. For kids who have classmates or friends like San�ago, I hope they will realize that being kind, pa�ent, and welcoming makes a huge difference in others.” Praised for its compassion and insight and with lively, colorful illustra�ons by Udayana Lugo, San�ago’s Dinosaurios is a deligh�ul book about diversity, inclusion, and friendship perfect for children ages 4-8.
