Meet Author Mariana Ríos Ramírez Tue, Nov 15 • 6:30p • Anderson Mariana Ríos Ramírez will be at the Anderson Main Library for her debut children’s book, Sanago’s Dinosaurios, on Tuesday, November 15 at 6:30 p.m. Inspired by her son’s love of dinosaurs and his experience when the family moved from Mexico to the United States, “Sanago’s Dinosaurios” is a story of perseverance, creavity, and friendship. Families can enjoy dinosaur-themed acvies and purchase books to be signed by the author. Mariana Ríos Ramírez is a Mexican author who lives in Anderson with her husband, two kids and a Chihuahua mix dog named Rogers. She is passionate about wring stories for children about diversity, kindness, and that can inspire posive feelings and dreams. “I hope that by reading this book, children who are going through the same struggles as Sanago will see themselves in the story,” says Ríos Ramírez. “I want them to know that they are not alone; that it will take me and hard work but they will eventually be able to communicate and make friends. For kids who have classmates or friends like Sanago, I hope they will realize that being kind, paent, and welcoming makes a huge difference in others.” Praised for its compassion and insight and with lively, colorful illustraons by Udayana Lugo, Sanago’s Dinosaurios is a delighul book about diversity, inclusion, and friendship perfect for children ages 4-8.
