Exploring History Have you ever wanted to learn more about your family history? Are you looking for ways to preserve your family’s photos and documents? October is Family History Month, and the library offers many ways for you to dig deeper and preserve your past. The South Carolina Collec�on at the Anderson Main Library contains unique and rare genealogy and local history materials from Anderson County and surrounding areas, da�ng back to the Revolu�onary War. Staff can help you explore robust collec�ons of family and local histories; census, probate, deed, court, tax, and cemetery records; military rosters; historical maps and newspapers; genealogical guides; and much more. In addi�on to physical resources, the library also provides digital research resources with a library card. A library edi�on of Ancestry.com allows you to search millions of records. Access Ancestry: Library Edi�on in any Anderson County library loca�on. Explore HeritageQuest and find census records, U.S. Freedman’s Bank records, U.S. Indian Census rolls, immigra�on and Canadian census records. Access to HeritageQuest is available anywhere online.
