Pythagoras

Born 586 B.C. on the island of Samos, he lived about 100 years. He was an older contemporary of the Buddha who attained enlightenment during the 6th century B.C. Shankaracharya and Mahavira were flourishing in India, Zoroaster and Mithras dominated Persia and Lao Tse and Confucius enlightened China. The 6th century was a remarkable time of evolutionary change for the life wave of humanity.

Pythagoras taught the unity of all life, the perfection of the human soul, and purification through reincarnation in his Mystery School in Crotona. Many esoteric scholars insist Pythagoras returned as Kuthumi, the initiate that helped promulgate Theosophy and who overshadowed Earlyne Chaney throughout her life and whose influence help establish Astara as a modern Mystery School through the Book of Life Degree Lessons. As a “Place of Light” to carrying forward the philosophy of Pythagoras into the new age, Astarians are encourage to delve further in to the Secret Wisdom of the Great Initiates.
