July 2009 Dear Parent/Guardian: Welcome to Cottonwood Elementary! Enclosed in this envelope are the enrollment forms that need to be completed and signed. Please return all the completed enrollment forms, along with fee payments, to the school office by August 11th. The school office will be open for enrollment on August 10th 8:00-12:00 & 1:00-4:00 and August 11th 12:30-7:00, but you may return the forms by mail anytime in July. We ask that you write two separate checks for enrollment fees and food service fees. Please make checks payable to: Cottonwood Elementary for enrollment fees USD 385 Food Service for lunch, breakfast, juice & milk. If you have children attending school in buildings other than Cottonwood Elementary, a separate check will need to be written to each building for enrollment fees, but one check is sufficient to make payment on children’s lunch accounts. First through fifth grade students’ classroom placements for the 2009-2010 school year will be mailed on Friday, August 14th. Meet Your Teacher Night will be Tuesday, August 18th from 6:00-7:00 pm. During this time you will be able to meet the classroom teacher, along with other building staff. Your child is welcome to bring his/her school supplies, marked with his/her name. School begins for students in 1st – 5th grades on Thursday, August 20th. Kindergarten will begin on Monday, August 24th.. The Cottonwood staff looks forward to seeing you soon.
