Cox supports equal rights for same sex couples
T
he democratic platform supports same sex marriage and the movement to get equal marriage rights. Geoff Cox, senior, agreed and feels that not allowing gay marriage is restricting ones rights. “The problem with gay marriage for me is that you’re denying
rights that straight couples are entitled to. All people should be given the same rights. It isn’t just denying marriage but it’s also denying healthcare or the right to see your significant other on their death bed. It isn’t any ones right to tell you what you can and can not do especially when your body is telling you something different,” Cox said.

O’Connor, Naff agree with Republicans on guns, immigration
R
epublicans believe that gun control restricts Second Amendment rights. Jameson O’Connor, junior, agreed and sees gun control as harmful. “History’s strongest gun control advocates were Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot, and Mao Zedong. Their opinions make me think that an armed populous is a safer populous,” he said.
Harrison Naff, senior, feels strongly about immigration rights. “Immigration should be more strict . People come to our country and vote illegally, and make money without paying our government. Its wrong. They take our money back to fuel their economy and not ours,” Naff said. EMILY PEER AND BLAIR PULLMAN
