Safety

Food Service

During the school day, the front doors are the only doors unlocked. The East doors are open from 8:25-8:35 for car drop-off of students. Students riding the bus will unload at the main entrance on the South side of the building.

Food Service accounts are established for all students and a positive balance should be maintained in the account to ensure that your child will have milk and/or lunch. Money can be placed in this account at enrollment or by sending money in an envelope with your child to the school office or by paying online through the district website. Email notifications of child’s balance will be sent by Food Service.

Dropping Off/Picking Up Students The safety of our students is always a priority. In an attempt to keep the flow of traffic moving and to make sure our students get to and from school safely, please review the following. Arrival Students being brought to school by car will have two choices: 1. Park in the East parking lot and walk to the building to deliver your child. Please use the crosswalk for safety purposes. OR 2. Enter the drop off line from Flutter Dr. This is a one-way entrance-only drive. Drive forward as far as possible beyond the doors. Let your child off in a timely manner so the drop-off traffic keeps moving. Dismissal Students that are car riders will exit through the art room door on the East side of the building. The arrival procedures will be repeated: 1. Park in the parking lot and walk to the building to meet your student; OR 2. Enter the pick up line from Flutter Dr. This is a one-way entrance-only drive. Drive forward as far as possible. Please have an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper with your child’s last name in the passenger front dash. The outside car duty personnel will radio in the name on the car so the student can be released from the building. The students will be released individually by the staff member on duty. Safety is of vital importance to all staff members. Staff are trained and required to supervise arrival and dismissal. Children and parents are expected to follow their instructions. Our goal is to ensure the safety of everyone.

Visitors & Volunteers ♦
