Kaleidoscope, Alison Glass’ enduring solids collection, is back in stock and we couldn’t be more excited!

Kaleidoscope is a woven, 42” usable width, 100% cotton fabric. Its texture strikes the perfect balance between structure and lightness, allowing it to drape beautifully for both quilting and garment making. With sixty fabrics in the line, a spectrum of light, bright, and dark + many neutral colors makes Kaleidoscope a versatile and useful fabric collection. The colors harmonize effortlessly with Alison’s signature palette of printed fabrics and stand out splendidly on their own. Many Alison Glass quilt patterns feature Kaleidoscope on their covers, making it a reliable choice for kits, classes, and a wide variety of projects.

Primarily consisting of shot cottons with a few chambrays, Kaleidoscope uses two different colors of yarn that are woven together to make a new, final color with a lot of depth and interest. Great care was taken in the combining of the two colors to create a line of woven solid fabrics that are both beautiful and consistent with the Alison Glass color palette. Achieving the desired perceived color is a lengthy and time-consuming process, and we are very proud of the work that went into creating it and the outcome.

Swell quilt

Swell is a modern star quilt by Nydia Kehnle and Alison Glass. The design is inspired by one of Alison’s fabric designs. It uses the foundation paper piecing technique and includes the block templates, foundation paper piecing instructions, and a coloring page. trinket quilt

A trinket is typically thought of as a small item of little worth. Its value comes from what it means and the memories it holds. The Trinket quilt, by Alison Glass, is about the process and act of creating as you connect personal meaning to each block. The fun is in the making! Trinket uses the foundation paper piecing technique. It includes templates for 40 different 4” blocks and detailed foundation paper piecing instructions.

Inspired by half-timber architecture, Timber is a modern block-based design by Jamie Gray. We love the dark background of this new version.
