WHAT IS MEDS MEDS is a platform which offers professional, social, cultural and creative programs that connect all design disciplines.

01.1 CORRECT USAGE OF LOGO The MEDS logo has been specially designed as a unit and must not be recreated. These correct variations and consistent application of the logos will reinforce MEDS as a brand.

01.2 CLEAR SPACE To preserve the MEDS logo’s integrity, always maintain a minimum clear space around the logo. The clear space isolates the logo from competing graphic elements such as other logos, copy, photography or background patterns that may divert attention. The minimum clear space for the MEDS logo is defined as a height of the “M” in the wordmark. This minimum space should be maintained as the logo is proportionally enlarged or reduced in size.

01.3 Minimum size The minimum size has been carefully established to ensure our logo is reproduced correctly in smaller sizes. At minimum size, the logo is still clearly legible and provides a strong level of identification. The logo must never be used in a smaller size than the size identified on the image below. For printed applications (i.e. offset printing), the width of the logotype should not be reduced less than 40mm. For screen applications (i.e. a website or banner), the width of the logotype should not be reduced any smaller than 170 pixels.

01.4 PLEASE, JUST DON’T

Don’t stray from the color palette. We like pink too, but, you know ... Avoid similarly-colored and cluttered backgrounds. Keep it minimalistic. Gradient-free. Don’t stretch, condense or distort the logo. We like it as it is. Never retype the text or alter the typeface. Use Comic Sans in your own projects. Don’t change spacing, alignment or relative position of elements. Feel the harmony! Do not rotate. We are a funky bunch, but let’s keep it professional. Please, do not invade the clearspace. It’s there for a reason. Don’t shrink the logo below the smallest size allowed. Nobody likes it too small. The logo itself is strong and independant. Don’t use it in a line text. Modifying, removing and adding brand assets is not allowed.

The graphics in this brand guide are not necessary graphics for other MEDS layouts that still need to be done. This guide is still in a development phase and other elements such as stationery, newsletter, tutor pack, ... layouts will be added when finished, so we can have complete graphical reference defined in this brand guide. All the colors and typography defined in this layout won’t be subject to any change so they can be used freely in conjunction with logo usage rules.
