Unstoppable
Ways

Get
Targeted

To
 Your
Blog Youʼve purchased a domain name, installed wordpress, chosen a killer theme and you may have even written your first couple of blog posts. Youʼre excited to launch your site and even more motivated by all of the money youʼre going to be making online! But a week goes by...no visitors. Ok...you think. Iʼm new, letʼs give it time, Iʼll write some more posts and the visitors will come. A week turns into a month... a month in 90 days... 90 days turns into a year... Still no traffic!! ...and even worse. No money! The few subscribers youʼve managed to scrape up are just that -subscribers- and most of them havenʼt purchased one thing from you. Is this hitting close to home? Whether you are a newbie or been around the online block a few times, to survive you have to be able to generate traffic – fast. But you donʼt just want any old visitor… you want people who will: • • • •

Be interested in the products, services and content you have to offer. Sign up for your mailing list and love the value you provide. Be able and willing to pay for your products, services and opportunity offers. Turn into loyal customers and super fans who tell their networks about you.

If you donʼt have these 4 things itʼll be extremely hard to make any consistent cash online. But how can you turn it all around?

Blog
Traffic
Bootcamp

Here are 7 unstoppable ways to make sure you are 1) generating traffic and 2) attracting the right type of traffic to boost the profits from your blog!

1.
Magnetic
Content
Now before you wrote one word and published one blog post I know you had a clear marketing message and solid marketing plan that targeted your ideal prospect right? Oh...you skipped this part did you? I see.. you must have thought that if “I build it..they will just come”...right? Wrong! One of the biggest mistakes people make is writing content they “think” their ideal customer wants...and leave it at that. • • •

They donʼt do any targeted keyword research. They donʼt create content that readers want to read and share. They donʼt produce enough quality content that keeps readers on their site and coming back for more.

Yes, you need fresh, high value material that: • • • • •

Tells your audience what they need – and want – to know Helps them achieve a dream or goal (immediate or long) Reveals something no one else has (unique solutions) Includes strong “calls to action” But even if youʼve done all that, youʼve only done half the job.

You also need to aim your material at an ideal audience who will share your content and create buzz around it. What type of people are most likely to participate in viral sharing? Let me give you a hint... Got a Facebook Page? What about Twitter followers? Social networkers are the gatekeepers to turning a nobody into a gotta have resource overnight. So not only should you ask your audience to share, make it easy for them to do so by including social network sharing badges on your blog posts and web pages.

Letʼs take a look at this blog post below as an example. Youʼll see there are actually five invitations to share this piece of content. And not only does the author include simple badges –he use badges that help promote social proof. He has included three of the top social networks – Facebook, Twitter and Google+ along with buttons that not only allow people to like but the send to post on friends timelines as well.

Notice how successful this tactic has been for him – 248 people tweeting his post and 7300 people sharing it on Facebook. What else can you do to make sure your content is being shared... Make sure your content is Search Engine Optimized. That means you are creating content that is designed to attract one type of person and one type only - your ideal customer. There is no point in creating content and hoping it will stick or find the people itʼs meant for... No! In order to tap into the people you need to make your business grow you must force the issue. You have to make sure you are creating content that is going to attract the people who are most likely to enjoy your content, spend to get more of your content and share your content with others. Using keyword tools like Google Keyword Tool or Market Samurai will help you push your content to the top of the search engines where you can capitalize on tons of organic traffic.

To maximize your exposure and the volume of traffic you can drive back to your blog you must make sure your videos are search engine optimized. If you are using or want to use video marketing to drive traffic to your blog so you can sell more of your products, services and affiliate programs, people need to find your videos first and you need to know how to optimize your videos for MAXIMUM exposure. Most bloggers and online marketers using video marketing will typically upload their videos to all of the popular video sharing sites such as YouTube, Viddler and Vimeo but pay little to no attention to their title, descriptions and tags. Then they wonder why their videos aren’t getting viewed and generating any traffic. When you upload your video and you do it properly you only have to SEO your video one time and you’ll find over time your views will continue to grow. What’s so awesome about video is that it works for you 24/7, 365 days a year and when you can get your videos on the first page of google you are able to generate leads for free because you took a few extra minutes to optimize your video for maximum exposure! So how do you land your video content on the first page of google by optimizing your video’s description, title and tags? How-to videos are probably the best way to start generating blog traffic but itʼs important to find hot keywords related to your niche. When doing keyword research there is a tool many online marketers use that will analyze and choose the best keywords for you - keywords that will get you clicks and traffic to your site but don’t have a lot of competition. You can also use this tool when creating a blog post, article or video that you want to get ranked on the 1st page of google for. The tool is called market samurai and you get a free trial by clicking the link here. Let’s walk through a few ways you can upload your videos to make sure they are SEO optimized. Step
1
Title: Create a title that invokes curiosity and also includes the keyword or keyword phrase you are targeting. (Use google keyword tool or a tool like market samurai to choose a keyword that will get you traffic but does not have a lot of competition) Quick

Step
2 Description: Add a link to wherever you want to direct your traffic. Ideally you want viewers to go to end up on your sales page where they can check out a related product or service. If your video is about a product that you are an affiliate of, you can put your affiliate link, but the best place to send your traffic to is a capture page so you give them the opportunity to enter their contact details in exchange for more information. This allows you to convert that viewer into a lead and build up your email list, because that is really where the value is. Then you want to add a keyword rich, content rich description sharing what your video is about, that includes your target keywords and a few related keywords. You also want to make sure that you are asking your viewers to rate or comment on your video in your call to action at the end of your videos because this will also boost your rankings on the search engines. When people are commenting and leaving feedback google sees this as relevant content. Step
3
Tags: Make sure you put in keyword rich tags, put in your main keyword, and any related keywords. Also include your name, the name of the product you are promoting and company name as a tag so that you and or your company pops up when people start searching for you. In addition to putting a link to your website in your description, give your viewers a way to connect with you on other social media platforms such as Facebook ad Twitter. So make sure you are leveraging the social networks. Types
of
Video
That
Drive
Traffic You donʼt have to be a hollywood director to create a video your target visitor will appreciate. In fact, a video of one minute or less can be far more powerful (and incite more views) than one that runs for five or 10 minutes – as long as itʼs providing value. You can make videos where you speak directly into the camera (and let readers feel even more like they “know” you by hearing your voice and seeing the way you interact in real life). You can create “how to” or instructional videos that provide step by step solutions to problems your target audience may be facing.

You can present Power Point slides; using screen capture software like Camtasia to show people how to use certain online services and software; and even draw cartoons, if youʼre creative.

3. Optimizing
Your
Opt
in
Offers Every blogger that has the intent to make money needs to have an opt in form on their site. In fact you should have a number of options where visitors are invited to opt in to receive additional information from you. If you donʼt have a web form on your blog or site, inviting people to sign up for updates, include one right now! In order to create sign up forms that work, however, you need to provide a strong offer. People just arenʼt going to hand over their name and email address for nothing! The good news is… your offer doesnʼt have to be a fifty-page eBook or a full-blown video course. It can be anything that your ideal prospect overwhelmingly wants – right now! The key is to put yourself in your visitorʼs shoes and ask yourself: “What would I part with my contact information over, if I was my visitor? What can I give to help him/her the most?” Your irresistible offer may be something as simple as a cheat sheet, report or a onepage template. I guarantee that youʼll increase your opt ins and sign up rates by offering something that provides a specific solution rather than some generic “catch-all” like “Find this blog post useful? Subscribe to my RSS feed”. Now while you do want people to subscribe to your RSS feed (donʼt get me wrong here) the more specific and targeted you are with your calls to action the better response youʼll get and the higher quality the lead. Where to place your opt in forms I include opt in forms in the following places on my blog: 1. Above the fold in the top-right corner of my page – current studies cite the top right as your “prime real estate” – the spot people always check out first. If you donʼt already have an Autoresponder – get one! (Aweber is the industry leader. At only $19.00 per month with the best “live” help customer support system and a number of powerful features that make email marketing a breeze, you canʼt afford not to use it. 2. In the footer - I always make sure I have a way people can opt in once theyʼve scrolled down to the bottom of the page. Youʼll be surprised just how lazy people are and instead of scrolling back to the top (even though they may be interested in learning more from you) they wonʼt do it and you could lose a potential prospect forever. 3. After every blog posts - people will be entering your blog from different pages and posts you have scattered across the web. Make sure you have a strong call to action at the end of every post you publish. If they enjoyed your post - which they should if it was quality and useful - then they wonʼt mind taking you up on your offer to get more advice by subscribing to your email list. 4. Pop-up - depending on where visitors enter your site a great (yet controversial) way to scoop up subscribers is to have a pop-up opt-in box. Iʼve personally had love hate relationship with pop-ups but no matter how annoying some people say they are, they reel in the leads. Just make sure that the offer is irresistible. Really make someone not care that they have to go through one extra step to get to your content. While you can create a generic pop-up using Aweber, I prefer to more stylish and professional feel so I use PopUp Domination. It dramatically increased my opt ins and you can have a super fly opt-on box in less than 5 minutes flat. Remember:

4.
Guest
Blogging
This is a blog traffic technique that Iʼve only recently implemented but has had a great impact on the growth of my business. Guest blogging has worked very well for me. One of the most powerful and speedy ways to generate traffic is two-fold. Write a guest post for someone elseʼs blog and allow other marketers in your niche to contribute to your site. The benefits of guest blogging are awesome and you will want to pick people whose content is related to yours – who have the same ideal audience. Choose blogs that rank at the top of Google search results, when you use the keywords you want to rank for as your search parameters. You can typically find marketers who accept guest posts by entering the name of their blog domain name + guest post or guest blog. If they do not already have some type of submission or request form, youʼll want to send them a short email or facebook message offering to write a guest post on a subject

their readers will love. (Be sure to let them know whether or not you expect a guest post from them in reciprocity… or whether or not you simply would love to contribute to their site, no strings attached.) For a long time I ignored this powerful tactic - telling myself - Iʼll do it next month. Guest blogging is not as scary as you think - you just have to do it. When you approach a blog youʼd like to “guest” for, youʼre approaching someone whose work (and target audience) you know well and really all youʼre doing is writing a blog post that you would publish on your own blog and donating it to another blogger in exchange for traffic. Most likely youʼll already know bloggers who youʼd like to write for – professionals in your niche that you admire.

My favorite Google Searches for Finding Guest Posting and Content Syndication Opportunities:

“Add Articles” “Add Content” “Submit Article” “Submit Post” “Add Guest Post” “Bloggers Wanted” “Guest Bloggers Wanted” “Guest Post” “Guest Posts Roundup” “Guest Blogging Spot” “Write for Us” “Submit a Guest Post” “Submit Guest Post” “Become a Guest Blogger” “Submit a Guest Article” “Guest Post Guidelines” “Guest Bloggers Wanted” “Submit an Article” “Group Writing Project” “Want to Write for” “Blogs that Accept Guest Posts” “Blogs that Accept Guest Blogging” “Blogs that Accept Guest Bloggers” “Blogs Accepting Guest Posts” “Become a Contributor” “Contribute” “Submit Design News”

“Submit News” “Community News” “Submit Tutorial” “Submit Blog Post” “Suggest a Post” “Suggest a Guest Post” “Become an Author” “Contribute to our Site” “Become a Contributor” “Become a Guest Writer” “Places I Guest Posted” “My Guest Posts” “Publish Your News” “Submission Guidelines” “Guest post by” “This guest post was written” “Guest Contributor” “This guest post is from” “This is a guest article” “Now Accepting Guest Posts” “The following guest post” inurl:guest-posts inurl:write-for-us inurl:guest-post-guidelines inurl:profiles/blog/new search twitter for ʻguest postʼ

You will also want to open up opportunities to bloggers in your niche to contribute to your site. Email your list or connect with other influencers and associates to see if theyʼd be interested in contributing...youʼll be surprised by how many people jump at the opportunity.

5. Social
Networking No matter what your niche, if you are building a blog and want traffic itʼs a priority to get on and participate in the following social communities: • • • • • •

Facebook: 901 million Twitter: 555 million LinkedIn: 150 million YouTube: 800 unique visitors a month Google+: 170 million Pinterest: 11.7 million

Thatʼs a lot of traffic right? Just imagine if you could tap into a sliver of this social media traffic. Your blog would be in great shape! Social media is easy to leverage and you can build a business online without having to spend a lot of time getting sucked into the latest gossip and non-income producing activities that come with social media. Sign up for an account, spend 15 - 20 minutes a day connecting, uploading and posting engaging content and youʼll be amazed by how much traffic you can direct to your site. Each of these social networks has a slightly different focus (and modality of sharing): Google+ and LinkedIn carry a more business-slant while Facebook and Twitter are more for day-to-day communication and up-to-the-moment updates. Put them all together, and you have a powerful mix! There are three keys to making the most of these networks: • Post regularly and consistently • Post content that is engaging and starts discussion • Make sure you optimize your profiles and apps. Google+, Facebook and LinkedIn allow you to create a “Page” for your business. Donʼt miss that opportunity – even if you have to hire someone to set these up for you. And just as you invited people to “share this link” on your web page, be sure to invite people to share your links on your social networks as well. sponsored by http://empowered.blogtrafficbootcamp.com copyright

6. eBook
Syndication If youʼve ever visited my site or subscribed to my email list, you know that I love information products. I believe that by leveraging existing content and repurposing it in a PDF eBook is one of the best ways to drive targeted blog traffic. Here's how: 1. Turn your article or collection of related articles and convert to a PDF eBook or report that has between 7 - 14 pages (exactly like Iʼm doing here with Blog Traffic Bootcamp). a. Free resources include: i. YouConvertIt.com ii. PDFOnline.com/convert-PDF/ iii. pages for mac simply export to a pdf iv. PC see if you have the option to save as a pdf file. 2. Create an eBook cover image a. $5 eBook cover graphics at Fiverr.com (same place I sourced this eBook cover) i. Graphics section ii. Find a contractor iii. Look for high ratings 3. Submit newly created eBook to these different websites a. Free-ebooks.net one of the most popular eBook directories online that will drive a lot of traffic b. GetFreeEbooks.com c. e-library.net d. Review guidelines for any of the forums or social networks you belong to (like the Warrior Forum) and see if they will allow you to post your eBook there too. e. Submit to document sharing sites like docstoc.com, slideshare.net, calameo and scribd. IMPORTANT
NOTE:
Make
sure
you
have
links
or
even
banner
ads
 within
the
eBook
that
point
back
to
your
blog
to
drive
the
traffic

blog
or

page.

Consider
adding
a
promo

the
eBook
to
 increase
subscribers.

7.

Setting up tracking tools like Google Analytics can be done in minutes with a wordpress plugin. Itʼs vital to know where your traffic is coming from, as well as what articles and posts work – and which ones donʼt! If the word “analytics” makes your eyes glaze over, then the least you can do is visit your website cpanel, (http://yourblogdomainname.com/cpanel) where youʼll find lots of resources and tools that help you check out where your traffic came from. (If you donʼt know how to do that, check your original “Welcome” email from your web host: Or ask them to send it again.) Google Analytics is available to you the moment you sign up for a Google account (If you have a Gmail address, youʼve already got a Google account) and it walks you through the tracking process step by step – all you need is patience. And if you want to explore the subject of tracking further, the SEOmoz blog offers an excellent article on 18-steps to tracking. Another great tool to check out the performance of your blog is to use Hubspotʼs Marketing Grader. Learn how well you are doing across 3 critical areas of your marketing: •

Top of the Funnel Are you doing enough to bring visitors to your website and fill the top of your sales and marketing funnel? How are your content creation, optimization and website promotion skills?

Middle of the Funnel How do you do when it comes to converting traffic into leads and leads into customers? Do your landing pages, conversion forms, email marketing and social media efforts compare?

Analytics Do you know what marketing activities are working (or aren't working)? Do you measure your successes and failures?

Get your grade for free here: http://marketing.grader.com/. Youʼll even get a list of comprehensive suggestions on how to fix your blogʼs shortcomings so you can make immediate changes that will help you increase you blog traffic. There are many ways to bring targeted traffic to your blog, ranging from basic to advanced. However, make these seven unstoppable methods part of your daily blog traffic building strategy and youʼll skyrocket your blog to the top of the google search engines and find yourself with an influx of new followers, subscribers, and buying customers that put money into your pockets and your reputation at the top of the industry. sponsored by http://empowered.blogtrafficbootcamp.com copyright

Paid
Traffic
When other people are stressed out about Google this and Panda that if you know and understand how to leverage direct buying media you will never have a problem generating fast traffic and fast cash online. Obviously the fastest and easiest way to generate traffic is to couple both free and paid methods of marketing. That means buying traffic! Once youʼve created a highconverting sales process, you can use paid advertising to literally put your traffic on autopilot. While I will not go into detail on every paid method (Iʼm saving those for Blog Traffic Bootcamp: The Ultimate Guide To Blog Traffic) I do want to point out that as you grow your business you will want to begin to reinvest a portion of your earnings back into your online business to fast track your traffic efforts. So what are some of the top-notch paid traffic strategies you can use to boost your blog traffic quickly. Facebook
Ads Facebook Ads are the most targeted traffic your money can buy. Facebook Ads are simply online billboards - but unlike the billboards you pass on the side of the freeway Facebook Ads are only seen by targeted traffic increasing the likelihood of a conversion. In Blog Traffic Bootcamp: The Ultimate Guide To Blog Traffic Iʼve give you some insider tips on how to drive traffic straight to your most valuable content and offers. Banner
Ads
Banner advertising is used as a highly cost effective method for driving targeted traffic to your blog, product and services. Banners allow you to display your ad over a period of time, increasing the chances that a prospect will see your ad and remember it. Ad
Swaps Ad Swaps are a really cool and effective way to grow your list by leveraging other lists. For example, letʼs say you want to swap ads (maybe you want to promote a new ebook or opportunity) with someone who has a list of 5,000 subscribers and you have only 1,000 subscribers. The person with 5,000 subscribers would simply send your ad out to 1,000 subscribers of their 5,000 person list. Use Ad swaps to tap into other industry leaders lists to build your own responsive email list. Weʼll talk about some really slick paid marketing methods that will skyrocket your traffic without breaking the bank.
