Mr. Roger Sterling Science Publishing 1234 Burger Road Seattle, WA 99881 Dear Mr. Sterling: Biotech research is an increasingly important issue in Seattle, WA. As a result, on [date], [number] local organizations will announce that they have joined forces to promote greater awareness of the benefits of public transportation and to generate increased support among local, state and federal officials. As chairperson of this new coalition, known as [name of coalition], I want to take this opportunity to introduce you to our organization. Our coalition is comprised of diverse members ranging from businesses like [insert name] to non-profit and civic organizations such as [insert names]. Public transportation plays an essential role in ensuring a strong community by providing accessibility, mobility, choice and freedom to all its residents -- whether it be the senior citizen who rides the bus to get to the doctor’s office or the working mother who takes the train to her job. I have enclosed a media kit that includes a fact sheet about the important impact of public transit on everyday lives here in Seattle as well as information about the coalition’s goals and membership. I hope you will find these materials helpful. I will call you in the next few days to discuss our coalition in more detail and answer any questions you may have. You may contact me at bridget@blueberrybiotech.com. Thank you for your interest. I look forward to talking with you soon. Sincerely, Bridget Boden Media Specialist Blueberry Biotech

our story We are a biotech company that believes we can’t out perform nature, so we look to nature to inspire our research and innovation. Flavanols in blueberries, for example, can cross the blood brain barrier after dietary intake to reverse the effects of Alzheimers and memory loss in a way that no known drug can. Blueberries are one example of many that we find whether we scour the cancer curing elements of the Amazon or the bark of evergreen trees in our native Northwest. Discovering the methods blueberries use and applying them to pharmaceutical development will open doors we didn’t even know existed. We take this approach of turning to nature first as the ultimate teacher and provider in all of our biotech research. Blueberry Biotech’s core mission is to bring pharmaceutical products to patients for unmet medical needs. To this mission, we bring our years of drug development expertise, coupled with the insight of working with nature not against it.

product bb23rn a novel compound for alzheimers, dementia and other memory related ailments of the brain BB23RN is a synthetic peptide that blocks Kv1.3 potassium ion channels. Kv1.3 is directly involved in the activation of effector memory T cells, acknowledged mediators of autoimmune disease. In animal disease models it has been shown to quell the inflammatory activity of effector memory T cells with exquisite potency, selectivity and durability; leaving intact the innate immune response and a majority of the adaptive immune response. BB23RN was originally derived from Stichodactyla helianthus, a Caribbean sun anemone. Kineta’s drug product is manufactured synthetically. Preclinical research demonstrated that BB23RN is effective in animal models of eight autoimmune diseases including multiple sclerosis and rheumatoid arthritis.

eb5614 for acute & chronic severe pain Eb5614 is Blueberry BIOtech’s newest program. It adds to our pipeline of novel, narrowly targeted venom-derived peptides. It is focused on neuropathic chronic pain. The drug candidate is a small synthetic peptide derived from the venom of the Cone snail specifically blocks neuronal Nicotinic Acetylcholine ion channels. It is a target of high interest in the pharmaceutical industry for the treatment of neuropathic pain. Administered peripherally where it acts, early research demonstrates it has minimal penetration of the blood-brain barrier.

Thus there is strong potential for it to be an effective treatment for severe chronic pain without the risk of addiction.
