Andrea Inocêncio

Andrea Inocêncio is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice extends to photography, performance, theatrical productions (scene design, wardrobe), etc. Her work reflects around cultural borders, identity, gender, stereotypes, social prejudice and the difficulties that it entails in human relationships. She is one of the founders of the performance group Malparidas http://aguardiente-malparidas.blogspot.pt. It has also been developing other collective projects with artists whose practices range from different disciplines. Through these encounters she search for explore trans-disciplinary art practice and different contexts. She is also committed in developing art projects with communities. She is an Invited Artist for the next edition of the post-graduation in Digital Visual Cultures at ISCTE-IUL & CRIA and was Assistant Professor of Visual Arts at ESEC-Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra.
