Frequently Asked Questions Is the training just about The Daily Sparkle ? No. Using The Sparkles reminiscence newspaper to maximum effect is covered but this is only one part of the overall programme. Is there a catch? Only in that this programme is exclusive to Sparkle subscribers. What do you expect activity staff to be able to do differently by the end of this year? We are confident that staff will have experienced a significant and permanent increase in confidence and ability enabling them to plan and deliver a range of quality activities without needing to rely on high levels of resources.
Why is it a year long? One-off trainings have been shown to have very limited impact on future behaviour whereas extended programmes create permanent change in attitudes and skill levels. Our programme is set up for sustainable change. How much is it to subscribe to the Daily Sparkle? £59 p.c.m per home for The Daily Sparkle and £49 pcm per home for The Weekly Sparkle. (Please note prices increase 15% on May 2nd). Is this another boring training? One thing our trainings are not is boring! We know from our own experience and a wealth of research that trainings have to be stimulating and fun if they are to achieve the optimum benefits. One of our post-training evaluation questions is: “ How much fun did you have today?”
News ASCC - Award Winner - Social Media Category "The judges could immediately see the value of the product. A newspaper-style memory tool that supports people with dementia, and supports their loved ones and staff who care for them. It can be customised to the care home that buys it and then it is emailed to staff, who print it off daily. A great example of social media using an old media model. The judges were intrigued when we opened the entry and were pleased that the website explains the concept and delivery so clearly". Judges Synopsis
