Andrew P. Doro is founder, president and CEO of Millbrook Support Services, a leading staffing company that supplies physicians, nurses, advanced practice providers and allied health professionals to private and government clients nationwide that are in need. As CEO of Millbrook, Doro oversees the operations of the company, managing the executive team and working hands-on with all corporate matters. Prior to healthcare staffing industry Doro worked in the education sector in various roles. Doro proudly served his country as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Doro, a native New York City and Long Island resident, lives in Millbrook, New York however splits his time downstate in Manhasset (Long Island), New York. "It was an honor to serve my country in uniform, and I am blessed and privileged to continue to serve my fellow citizens, government agencies and commercial clients," Andrew Doro said. Andrew Doro: Career Andrew Doro incorporated Millbrook in 2003 to focus on the education sector, but later transformed the business into healthcare staffing in 2015. Millbrook, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), supplies Physicians, Nurses, Advanced Practice Providers and Allied Healthcare staffing services to government agencies and commercial clients nationwide. Doro led the company as the early visionary, developing the business plan, website, marketing strategies, internal systems, recruitment management process, bid proposal procedures, and strategic relationships needed for Millbrook to thrive. He used his vast experience and business contacts to attract a world-class management team. Doro entered the dynamic world of staffing and outsourcing after his tenure in the education sector. He consulted with several healthcare staffing business to gain knowledge in recruiting, credentialing, sales and backoffice (accounting, IT, legal, etc.). This gave Doro exposure to working with: Federal government agencies, such as The Veterans Administration The Department of Defense, including the U.S. Army and Navy The Department of Health and Human Services State and local agencies in need of a wide range of human capital and staffing services. Doro also spent time developing other business skills, such as: Performing marketing presentations Generating proposals Developing scheduling, credentialing, coordination and deployment programs Andrew Doro: Academic background After serving his country, Doro returned to school to earn advanced master's degrees in management, education and psychology from St. John’s University. Andrew Doro: Military service Doro served as a U.S. Army platoon leader responsible for combat, pacification and intelligence operations. In that position, Doro saw significant action. He suffered wounds during battle, resulting in a 100% disability. Doro's military service led to him becoming the recipient of many citations, including: The Silver Star


The Purple Heart Combat Infantryman Badge (CIB) National Defense Service Medal Good Conduct Medal Marksmanship Medals. Andrew Doro: Additional Accomplishments In addition to his distinguished military, academic and professional accomplishments, Andrew Doro also served on the Board of Directors for a Veteran Outreach Center. He also worked as a crisis intervention group counselor for veterans with PTSD, and served as: Chairperson, Conference Committee for New York Association of School Psychologists Crisis intervention and group counselor for veterans with PTSD Membership in The Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Military Officers Association of America, and Combat Infantry Badge Association. In 2022, Doro led Millbrook's effort to become a sponsor for Homes for Our Troops, which helps build homes and support the lives of veterans who suffered serious injuries during their tours of duty. The goal of Homes for Our Troops is to restore some of the freedom and independence that some veterans have lost as a result of their service. Andrew Doro: Personal Life When not working or involved in his charitable and community activities, Andrew Doro enjoys spending time with his wife, family and friends, playing racquetball/squash, tennis, & golf, traveling, and enjoying international cuisine/wines. Doro lives in Millbrook, NY but spends substantial time in Manhasset, NY where he lived for over a decade and maintains one of several offices of the Company.
