CUBE CONNECT

CUBE CONNECT blends public and private spaces while fostering community between public and private spaces. At ground level, a public park welcomes interaction and visually connects to exclusive resident areas, offering openness while preserving privacy. Within the building, communal spaces on alternating floors create opportunities for residents to form micro-communities, encouraging interaction among smaller unit clusters. A central pathway cuts through the site, providing easy access to a nearby bus stop and integrating the building into the neighborhood’s flow. Other spaces include a café, gym, and a multipurpose room, which provides spaces for engagement, serving both residents and the community.

PROACTIVE OUTDOORS

Proactive Outdoors is a youth center that aims to create a modern way of learning for students in the pasadena area. With high crime in the area we wanted to create a safe space for students from nearby schools to come and enjoy learning in an outside envioronment and enjoy spaces for activities. During the design process we prioritized the idea of movement shown mainly on the ground floor where there is access on any side of the Youth Center aiming to create a welcoming and safe environment.
