Andrew Schlesinger

Andrew completed his master’s thesis work at the MFA department, Products of Design, in the School of Visual Arts. Before entering graduate school, Andrew received an engineering degree at the University of Michigan and went on to work at Apple, in Cupertino. While at Apple for 5 years, Andrew was on the Manufacturing Design team, developing iterative generations of the iPhone from the iPhone 4S to iPhone 7. These days, Andrew is interested in research across disciplines, with the goal of making the invisible systems of our world visible, and reimagining complex problems as tangible and actionable. Passionate about creating human connection and building more collaboration into the world, Andrew’s thesis work is a manifestation of this goal and hopes to see a more equitable, just world spearheaded by the design community.
