The Andrew Sims Centre is a leading UK provider of regional and national conferences, workshops and seminars, in the fields of mental health and learning disabilities. We aim to meet the educational needs of all health, social care and associated professionals working in these fields, throughout the country. Our provision focuses on clinical and therapeutic practices, service delivery and management, and multidisciplinary working. All our events are available to staff from NHS Trusts, public sector, private and voluntary (third) sector health and social care agencies. Our Name The Centre is named after Professor Andrew Sims; a former Dean (1987-1990) and President (1990-3) of the Royal College of Psychiatrists' and the first Director of Continuing Professional Development (from 1993-7) also at the Royal College of Psychiatrists'. He worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist for Leeds Partnerships NHS Foundation Trust when it was Leeds Community and Mental Health Services Teaching NHS Trust. Amongst his many
