About Semester 2022, spring

This semester is my last academic year before my graduation thesis design in my 5th year, to improve my exposition skill in architec tural design, I joined professor Hirahara’s studio. This studio focuses on finding your way to express your interests and presents them through notation illustrations with a theory book.

The book you are now reading was the theory book that was mentioned in the previous texts. This theory book included the infor mation of 4 projects that I design this semester, such as the initial four pictures, analysis of 4 sites, architecture design models, axonometric drawings and last but not least, the four notation drawings.

Before you start it, as the designer of these four projects, I want to say thank you for taking your time reading my design theory book of 2022, spring, hope you enjoy it!

1. Composition : discussing composition layout of the picture

2. Dialogue : discussing the dialogue relationship between topics

3. Proportion : discussing the proportional relationship between the part and the whole

On a 40x40cm drawing, according to the previ ous abstracted concept, the selected photographic works will be developed and transformed more than three times. After drawing various line segments on the paper with a pencil, imagine and create a "Multi-View" from the reading of the drawing and the possibility of "Paraline Drawing".

Draw this abstract sketch into a positive draw ing with engineering strokes, and the lines must show differences in thickness, odd and even, continuous or dashed lines.

Redraw the analysis diagram on the model board (grey, white, and black), and cut, cut, fold, and fold to form a three-dimensional sense of space. Express the spatial characteristics between abstract concepts and quantities.

History of Twa Tiu Tia

Goden Eage 1895-1945

Japanese period

1851-1895

Chin dynasty

In the mid-19th century, exporting tea gradually became an important industry in northern Taiwan, and many merchants appeared in Da Dao Cheng. The first firm, Lin Yi Shun, was opened in 1851 by Keelung businessman Lin Lan Tian.

In 1853, many merchants moved in from Bangka due to regional fighting.

British traders began trading tea in Dadaocheng in 1872.

At the beginning of the 20th century, Dadaocheng was regarded as a part of the city and was located outside the city wall of Taipei. Many European businessmen lived along the Danshui River, about 16 kilometres from Dadaocheng to the mouth of the Danshui River.

Dadaocheng is the second most populous city in Taiwan (the first is Tainan Fucheng, and the third is Wanhua), with a population of about 30,000 to 40,000 people.

The first movie theatre built by Taiwanese audiences was located in Dadaocheng. "Emperor Theater" imitated Tokyo's "Imperial Theater", combining cafes, sports fields and dressing rooms, it was a popular entertainment centre of the area.

At the same time, it is also the core of the development of Taiwan's modern advanced ideas and cultural creations, such as cultural lectures, poems, songs and paintings.

Foundation of Prosperous ROC period 1945-now

Decline and Transformation

After the war, the busiest street in Dadaocheng was called Dihua Street, which explains the oldest street in Taipei City. After the war in Dadaoc heng, the buying and selling of goods gradually changed to north-south goods. During the Chinese New Year every year, a large number of biscuits, candies and dry goods are sold.

Xiahai City God Temple is also located here. Every year on the 13th day of the fifth lunar month, there are a series of activities to celebrate the birthday of the god.
