It’s actually really easy to get to Ukraine. You have direct flights from all major cities in Europe, incl. Frankfurt and Paris, so just buy your ticket and show up in the airport at least two hours before the flight. Depending on your schedule you will have the following options: You come a week before the wedding and make a holiday out of it. In this case your obvious destination would be Kyiv. There you can join Thibaut who will take you to Odessa (a southern city on the seaside). Thibaut will be ready to meet those motivated starting from Friday the 2nd of September, while the departure to Odessa is scheduled for the 3rd in the afternoon. So make sure not to spend more money on your phone than on our wedding gift… If needed, we will have few sim cards of a local phone provider (Kyivstar) that you will be able to use! You come on Wednesday night to Kiev. From this point on you have nothing to worry about, as you will be in the welcoming arms of Cordel family that will make sure to have you settled for the night and well in the train or bus on Thursday morning to go to Lviv. Again, to avoid the surprise of Cordel family forgetting you in Kyiv – let us know that you will be there, and again – you can do it through the site!

Money exchange is quite easy and safe (not like in Prague: “it’s Belorussian money, they have no value”). So make sure to have some cash with you to change, so as to avoid excessive bank fees when using ATMs. Uber was invented in Ukraine! Any driver of Lada Jiguli or Daewoo Lanos can play a taxi driver in Ukraine, so don’t hesitate to stop them just on the road! But leave negotiations to the locals, it can help decrease your faire from 2 euro to 1.5 euro for a half-hour ride!
