Santa Maria in Paros is situated just 2 km from Naoussa. This extensive coastline is divided into two sections of soft, golden sand, both offering stunning views of the island of Naxos. The first section, often referred to as Santa Maria Camping, is named after the nearby campsite. The second section, known as the smaller beach or mikri, is located about a kilometer further along the road on the right side. The beach's powdery sand, emerald waters, and picturesque views of Aliki and Naxos make it a favorite among visitors.
Monastiri in Paros is situated a few kilometers past Kolymbithres beach, nestled in a rocky bay surrounded by towering hills. To the right, you can see the Monastery of Agios Ioannis Detis, from which the beach gets its name. On the left, impressive rock formations rise up. This well-organized and well-equipped beach becomes quite busy during the summer months.
Kalogeros in Paros is a small beach nestled within a rugged, hilly landscape. The shoreline is a mix of sand and pebbles, and the water is crystal clear. Situated within walking distance from Molos on the eastern side of the island, Kalogeros lies north of the popular resort of Logaras.

Many regard it as one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece.The name Kolymbithres, meaning "baptisteries," refers to the series of small sandy coves that make up the beach. These coves range from tiny "baptisteries" that can accommodate 2-3 people to larger ones that can host several dozen visitors. The main beach is organized, offering rental sunbeds and umbrellas. For those seeking privacy, finding a secluded tiny bay can provide a private retreat for the day.
Farangas in Paros is situated on the southern side of the island, just 3 km from Aliki. This beautiful beach features crystal-clear waters and fine sand. While part of the beach remains unorganized, the other side has a small beach bar providing sunbeds, umbrellas, and refreshments. Access to Farangas is limited to private transportation.
Golden Beach in Paros, located south of Parikia, is one of the island's premier destinations for swimming and watersports. Known as Chrissi Akti in Greek, this expansive golden sandy bay stretches for 700 meters and is renowned among windsurfers for its perfect wind conditions.The beach's name comes from its fine-grain golden sand, which is perfect for barefoot walks. The Cave of Antiparos, located in the Cyclades, Greece, is a renowned natural wonder on the island of Antiparos. Filled with stalactites and stalagmites of various shapes, it has a rich history dating back to ancient times. Initially used as a refuge and later as a place of worship, it gained prominence when Macedonian generals sought sanctuary there in the 4th century BC after their conspiracy against Alexander the Great. Explored in the 15th century AD, the cave hosted a notable event in 1673 when the French ambassador performed a Christmas Mass on a stalagmite resembling an altar, now known as the Holy Table. This stalagmite, believed to be the oldest in Europe at around 45 million years, sits at the entrance alongside a white chapel of Agios Ioannis Spiliotis, built in the 18th century. With 411 steps leading 100 meters deep into its heart, the cave continues to captivate visitors with its stunning and unique formations.
The Archaeological Museum of Paros in Parikia, established in 1960, originally housed artifacts from the Monastery of Panagia Ekatontapiliani. Initially consisting of one room, it expanded over the years, with further renovations in 1995. The museum displays artifacts unearthed from excavations in Paros and Antiparos spanning the Neolithic to early Christian eras. Notable exhibits include the Nike (Victory) of Paros, the marble statue known as Gorgo (Medusa), Cycladic figurines, mosaics, a bust of poet Archilochus, statues of deities, and amphorae from local workshops. The marble statue of Gorgo, standing at 1.35 m tall, dates back to the mid-6th century BC and was discovered in Parikia in 1993. Another significant piece is the marble statue of Nike, also 1.35 m tall, found in Kastro Parikia and dating to 470 BC, albeit missing its head, arms, and wings.
The Monastery of Panagia Ekatontapiliani in Parikia, Paros, is situated near the island's capital port. It stands as one of Greece's best-preserved Paleo-Christian monuments. Legend has it that Saint Helene, or possibly Emperor Constantine, built the original church after Saint Helene vowed to erect a church on Paros if her journey to find the Holy Cross succeeded. The Valley of Butterflies, or Petaloudes in Greek, lies 5 km south of Parikia near the Monastery of Jesus of Woods on Sotires Paros. During summer, this lush valley hosts a mesmerizing natural event as Jersey Tiger Moths blanket the area, drawn by the fragrant trees. It's a crucial habitat for these moths, exclusive to Paros and Rhodes in Greece, with rare sightings in Turkey and Britain. Nestled at the hill's base under a natural well, the valley offers shaded spots near stone fences and bushes, where butterflies blend with leaves, making them hard to spot individually.
Paros Park was established to address the degradation caused by sheep grazing and mass tourism on the peninsula. Through collective agreement, measures were taken to conserve the natural ecosystem, promote local culture, and transform it into a hub of ecology. With support from scientists, engineers, technicians, and volunteers, Paros Park became a reality. Today, Paros Park offers year-round enjoyment of its preserved Cycladic scenery, including unique rock formations, turquoise Aegean waters, and vibrant local flora. Additionally, the peninsula features significant historical sites such as a prehistoric community, the post-Byzantine monastery of Agios Ioannis Detis, and remnants of the Russian navy's headquarters from the Russian-Turkish War (1768-1774).
The Ancient Cemetery of Parikia on Paros Island is situated near the port of Parikia, constituting one of the Cyclades' significant ancient burial grounds. Used from the 8th century BC to the 3rd century AD, it was divided from the ancient town by walls. During antiquity, child mortality was high, leading to burials in large marble vases or stone structures. Most graves date to the latter half of the 7th century BC. Excavations uncovered numerous amphorae and a 3-meter-high mass grave with an archaic headstone, likely commemorating a pivotal military event .In the cemetery's western section, several marble sarcophagi from the post-Roman era were found atop marble platforms. These sarcophagi are distinctive to Paros and were also discovered in Thassos, a former Parian colony. Today, they are exhibited at the Archaeological Museum of Paros.
The Mycenaean Acropolis at Kolymbithres, Paros, dates back to the 13th century BC. Discovered in 1975 by archaeologist Dimitris Skilardis, its remains suggest Paros played a significant role in ancient Greek history. The Mycenaean architecture, featuring fort walls over 3 meters tall, underscores its importance. The settlement was likely destroyed by fire during an enemy attack and abandoned by the end of the 13th century BC. Later, in the 10th century BC, a Geometric settlement was established on the same site, which remained significant through the Archaic Period.
