Portugal is the westernmost country of mainland Europe, situated at the south west point of Europe, in the Iberian Peninsula. It is bordered on the East and North by Spain and on the West and South by the Atlantic Ocean, therefore the easiest way to reach the country is by plane.

We highly recommend participants to arrive in Oporto, at the Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, since this is the closest airport to the city of Guimarães. The OC will assure your transportation on the arrival day from the Airport to the accommodation/venue on the arrival day and from accommodation/venue to the Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport on the departure day. Selected applicants will be notified by email with more details regarding transportation.

If this is not the most viable option, you can also arrive at the Humberto Delgado Airport, in Lisbon, or Faro International Airport, in Faro. In case you prefer these options you will have to take a train at Oriente Train Station, in Lisbon, or Faro Train Station, in Faro, to Oporto or directly to Guimarães (CP Website).
