2 SPJ Phoebus Wins Multiple Awards in CocoCup 2023
By Benedict Abuan | G8 SPJ PhoebusThe Coconut/Ang Niyog, the official student publication of Quezon NHS, organized last year's Cococup 2023, which saw the participation of over 350 students in an intensive training program Notably, eight students from SPJ Phoebus secured a place in the event.
Fun-filled Educational Adventure
ByXiandrineMarieLeyola|G8SPJPhoebusOn March 3, the students of Quezon National High School had a 'LakbayAral' or educational field trip where you can learn and experience history while seeing it with your own eyes.
The students were assigned to go to school at 2:30 in the morning so that no one would be left behind Each bus had a letter indicating which students it was for.
They went to different historical places in Manila, like Manila Ocean Park, Rizal Park, Fort Santiago, Museo Maritime, and the Mall of Asia Each grade level had an assigned time for the place they were to go.
Quezon NHS conducted this field trip so students could experience what they wanted to learn Apart from discovering new knowledge, they also experienced it
"I learned the history of the places we went to and what happened back then," Mohammed Kashan, a Grade 8 student of SPJ Phoebus conveyed.
For students, it was a great help, especially for those interested in learning the history of our country
The students had a lot of fun because they also made new friends, and many memories to bring back home
"Past, Present, or Future, time moves unexpectedly fast when you are having fun or something interesting happens Whatever time it may be, things happen to us and around us. It isn't just us but other people as well, just like the historical stories, we can make history too," Dorothy Tan of Grade 8 SPJ Phoebus expressed.
This 'Lakbay Aral' was a unique opportunity to learn and have fun simultaneously.
The event has two parts: Cococup Phase 1 on September 9, 2023, at the new Suarez Building of grade 10, and Phase 2 on September 23, 2023, at the QNHS Gymnasium with the theme "Fostering Studios and Pressrooms: Forging the Society through Responsible Campus Journalism in the Digital Age "
In total, eight students of SPJ Phoebus won recognition in different writing categories during the 2nd Phase of Cococup 2023. Kyle Abdon, 2nd in Copyreading and Headline Writing. Sophia Logmao, 4th in Pagsulat ng Editoryal, Dorothy Tan, 5th place in Column Writing,
As of April 19, 2024, the Special Program in Journalism held a classroom-based recognition to recognize the students for their hard work and passion for their academic excellence and performance throughout the quarter.
All 26 learners in Grade 8 SPJ Phoebus made the writer's list with honors, and two students made the edit-or's list with high honors. According to some students in grade 8 SPJ Phoebus, they found the quarter difficult and doubted their chances of making it to the honors list
"As a student of this section, I was not expecting that all of us made it to the honors list considering how we found it hard to get through 3rd quarter, though I already expected that I probably won't be making it on the honors list based on my performance last quarter but I am glad that it was just my self doubt that took over my thoughts, Althea De Los Predes, a student of grade 8 SPJ Phoebus said During the ParentTeacher Association (PTA) meeting, it was led by the president, Jesusa M. Khashan. She discussed the requests of the

spot since the event is open to all students of QNHS.
In addition, three students of Phoebus made their way in the outstanding outputs. Mohammed Khashan for Feature students for the improvement of their classroom and opened the topic about the current condition of the learners
"I can say that the card giving was a suc-cess due to the fact that the parents also got to discuss some matters and implemen-tations they want for the students of Phoebus as part of their PTA meeting. All that's needed to be discussed are covered " she added
After the card giving, a surprise birthday celebration was held for Ma'am Tibayan held by the Homeroom PTA
Among the winning individuals, Khashan conveyed that he didn't expect to win a title in the training program, however, he is grateful to be one of those who secured a
ave you ever exerted so much effort and creativity into one project for one subject? Well, this fourth quarter in the class of Grade 8 SPJ Phoebus, we witnessed the amazing works of students with their self-built theater models for their group project for music and Arts.
Fourth quarter had just started, but projects were a big talk in the classroom of SPJ Phoebus, because when fourth quarter started, the class had already been tasked to make multiple projects, one of them being a model of a theater for their Music and Arts Project
"I was shocked. I never expected to lock in a spot in victory in the Coco Cup, as I know that the article I gave wasn't my best work and it didn't really satisfy me I am grateful to be a winner," Khashan stated.
Additionally, knowing it was Abdon's first time participating in CRHW, he never expected to land 2nd place among the participants. "It was my first time trying out Copyreading and Headline Writing, so It didn't go in
BySophiaMayLogmao|G8SPJPhoebusFor this project, students were given two options or two kinds of theater models to build, one is the Kabuki Theater of Japan, and the other is the Peking Opera of China The main purpose of this project is connected to the lesson on differentiating or knowing the difference between these two types of theater
Students were grouped into several groups and each group was assigned to build a theater that is a part of their lesson Each group has to make a model out of popsicle sticks, these models are going to be presented in front of the class.

my mind to be one of the winners," Abdon expressed. Next School Year, the event will once again take place for those students who have not had the chance to participate and will be widely open to all students of QNHS
Many students went all out in building this theater model Efforts can be seen in every process that they make, from buying and finding supplies for their model to working together on multiple weekends just to finish this project Many challenges and experiences were also a part of the process of this project
“I'll tell you my experience was ok. Although there was one time it fell and we had to stick it again with the use of a glue gun. The roof was also the reason that some of the popsicle sticks fell and collapsed.” According to Dorothy Eunice C. Tan, Grade 8 SPJ Phoebus.
Though there were a lot of times that it was difficult, she added that the overall experience was fun with her group mates and it was just time that they were lacking, especially since asynchronous classes have been implemented in the last few weeks
After all of these, each theater model is presented in front of the class on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, together with the group and its members
Special Programs like SPJ Phoebus will continue with their usual schedule and only report to school twice a week on Monday and Wednesday.
To help the teachers of SPJ Phoebus prepare for limited face-to-face activities or online classes, they are not required to report to school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Classes will be suspended whenever the heat index reaches up to 40 celsius and above

QNHS temporarily suspends wearing school uniforms amid intense heat temperature
By Christine Joyce Nanas| G8 SPJ Phoebusn order to make students and teachers feel comfortable, School Memorandum No. 24 signed by the principal, Joseph Hinanay is implemented for both teachers and students to focus on learning and teaching.
“It can help students with health matters because from what I know, too much heat brought by the weather can have serious consequences like fainting all of a sudden or being in a state of dehydration They will be comfortable in the choice of clothing they want to wear while also following the current implementation,” Althea Ruvey, a Grade 8 student of SPJ Phoebus expressed.
However, students are encouraged to choose appropriate clothing inside the school, too short and revealing clothes are not allowed. Sando, jersey, cropped-top, see-through, tube type, too fitted, sports attire, and hanging blouse/shirt and othe inappropriate clothes are not permitted inside the school campus
Similarly, teachers are not allowed to wear polos, or polo shirts paired with pants, jeans, or knee-length skirts
“Implementing a temporary dress code is a highly practical and considerate thing to do, especially since the students are struggling in their classes due to the extremely hot weather In my opinion, wearing light and breathable clothing during school hours, especially in extreme heat, can provide several benefits for us students,” Justine Rylle Contreras, a Grade 8 student of SPJ Phoebus conveyed Furthermore, the school has suspended uniforms for teachers and non-teaching personel and students due to high heat any appropriate and decent clothes are mandatory for the school despite the suspension of wearing school uniforms.
SPJ Phoebus proceeds to NLCA
I OBy Tathana Padora | G8 SPJ Phoebusn April 19, 2024, Batch 54 of the Special Program in Journalism 8 students took the National Learning Camp Assessment (NLCA) at AMA Lucena Campus from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM to assess their knowledge on various topics
The exam was held in Room 3 at AMA due to a lack of space in Rooms 1 and 2
Every school year, students take the National test to assess the knowledge they have obtained throughout the year
During the NLCA test, students use their previous knowledge to answer the questions based on the information they learned in past lessons
The test covers Science, English, and Mathematics from Q1-Q3, including a per-sonal reflection on learning experiences
Mrs. Marjorie S. Rodriguez, a Grade 8 Special Program in Foreign Language teacher, assisted the students from Phoebus in filling out the form required for the test She supervised the students as they took the test in AMA.
BySophiaDeguzman|G8SPJPhoebusLast January 2024, SPJ Coordinator and Print Journalism II teacher Sir Ramonito Elumbaring officially announces the start of magazine production for their 2nd quarter project held at Quezon National High School, ACT 2 to train SPJ Phoebus as they commence into their journalistic journey.
Before the Magazine Production started, Sir Ramon first discussed what a Magazine contains, tips on how to make a feature and others The class was grouped by 5 groups; The Scholar’s Voice, Academic Pulse, Quezon High Times, School Spirit and the Educate Express.
However they are also tasked to make a planner before they start writing and layouting their Feature articles, ASFs and ads. They were also required to use the platform ‘Canva’ for editing and layout
Sir Ramonito said that the Magazine Production has two topics: Writing Articles for Magazine and Designing Magazines So it is really part of the topics that need to be covered for the quarter in Print Journalism II.
“SPJ students benefit from magazine production because it lets them practice writing for a specific audience and format They can hone their skills in storytelling, research, and meeting deadlines. Plus, they gain valuable experience in the entire publishing process, from idea to finished product ” he stated
Additionally from one of the students in SPJ Phoebus, Dorothy Tan “Another new experience I had was layouting an actual magazine Since during my first year in journalism all we've done so far was layout a newspaper, but during my second year in journalism specifically during 3rd quarter, I got to experience layouting a magazine Overall, encountering both these experiences made me learn some lessons and realize how fun yet challenging it is to produce and create your own magazine ” She stated proudly

Leonida Tibayan Leonida Tibayan :: teacher who strives through education
An independent
byMohammedM Khashan|G8SPJPhoebusSomeone strong and independent grows within the school campus, handling battles and hardships throughout her career, yet still strives to teach and share wonderful stories. A dedicated adviser who holds power and speaks the truth to many, considered a leader and also a mother by her students.
As the roars travel their way on the corridors, you'll see her come An aura that is unique from others, like tigers and lions you'll hear the roars that sours
Leonida Tibayan, a grade 8 adviser of SPJ Phoebus has been teaching in the Special Program of Journalism ( SPJ ) for a long time She takes her time seriously with equipped confidence as she strives to teach the lessons that her students must learn in her subject, Filipino
The Filipino subject that she dedicated for years, was not just to keep the knowledge for herself but to also share it with others The knowledge that holds power that brings wisdom and blessings
Particularly, when she teaches her subject, she'll have her tactic to get attention from her students She acts and makes up jokes while discussing the lesson and she also puts a smile on her student's face along with the thrill she brings as she's teaching
"All I can say about Ma'am Tibayan ’ s confidence while teaching is that I liked how Ma’am also put on a thrill and the way she entertains the class by acting or by joking around and this helps the students to catch up with the lessons or discussions, " said a G8 SPJ Phoebus student, Sophia Deguzman
She doesn't waste time but takes her time slowly to listen to all of the responses to her students have to offer after the discussion She looks and makes the differences sound or look important as she believes that different perspectives count
In addition, she can be called a role model as she is kind, independent, and confident in front She lets other students take the spotlight when they're too scared to raise their hands to give every single one of them a chance to sparkle, like a star
According to a G9 SPJ Gryffindor student, Dennise Mhae Sayson says that Ma’am Leonida helps her step out of her comfort zone especially when reporting a presentation upfront
“Ma'am Tibayan is very confident like her poise and you can see the dedication in her eyes, and with her confidence, she can also boost the confidence of her students to go out of their comfort zone I remember when I was always nervous about every group activity because I was the presenter every time
Since ma'am tried to light up the room with her words of encouragement, I think it also boosted some of my skills and confidence to report in front of people,” she said
Inside the classroom, she makes it feel like home and not just any ordinary classroom. It sometimes seems like a stage when performance takes action A wonder, full of treasures
However, students of her subject don't submit a full-on masterpiece or something impressive, she still appreciates it as she looks for room for improvement and not disappointment
Moreover, she strives through the hardships that education throws at her and she turns them into stepping stones to rise. Not just for herself but for others as well, as stepping stones could either be big or small, she'll help inspire others to also step on these stones
Memory-filled zone Memory-filled zone
ByAnikaMarzellaA Layos|G8SPJPhoebusOnce upon a time, from the Special Program in Journalism Grade 8 - Phoebus, there was a group of students who started their journey that was unique and will never be forgotten Their journey contains happy and sad memories, challenges, and of course, moments that no amount of money can buy.
One day, they thought of creating a Facebook Account and they named it "Phoeple of Phoebus" which means "people/students from Phoebus ” In their account, they share some photos taken on special days, hugot lines that are corny, and riddles that they ask people who support their account to answer
Their Facebook page that they consider as a treasure, because it contains moments or memories together Photos taken from their cellphones and posted on their own space, facebook
As students from SPJ, they have stepped on or passed through some thorns from their journey One of them is their academic problems, just as making newsletters, magazines, webpages, and also using Adobe InDesign on their projects They undergo their elective subjects which are called Print Journalism, Pasulat na Pamamahayag, and the Contextualized TLE
But through these thorns, they have discovered many talents and abilities in themselves, and they have realized and learned many things, one of which is the power of unity and teamwork
As SPJ learners, one of the ingredients to be successful especially in group activities is unity and teamwork They believe that if you don't have unity, you won't be able to finish or overcome the harsh trials you are experiencing As the saying goes, “teamwork makes the dream work.”
In the middle of their journey, they find comfort through an open forum, where they can freely express their ideas and thoughts about each other which helps them to become the best version of themselves. Here, they also talk about the problems they want to solve with each other regarding conflicts they have
While their journey continues, they discover their favorite thing to do together, which is singing karaoke and grooving along to their favorite dance song, "Girl in the Mirror" and "Sama-sama sa Wellness" While doing these things, they're finding themselves laughing and screaming, to prove that they're happy
In a story, we cannot avoid encountering twists and giant trials. Often, they do cramming. But still, they overcome it with a smile on their face because they know within themselves that they did or showed their best
“Masaya naman maging Phoebus, masaya sila kasama. Nakikisabay sila sa trip and friendly sila lahat para sa akin, at bilang p i o naman, kapag may kailangan akong iannounce napapakiusapan naman sila Kahit mag away man ang section sa huli kami-kami pa rin naman ang nagsisimula ng celebration kapag may achievement ang section. In terms of acads, may participation din Open minded din lalo noong open-forum, at kapag may criticism sa newspaper and webpages, biruan lang naman yung asaran noon Walang pikunan which is good! Very sweet and supportive ang section na ito." says Fhebie Elize Pabelonia, a student from Phoebus
As they continued their journey, the students celebrated their successes and cherished the memories they created together. They enjoyed the closeness that was felt as a family Every challenge became a lesson for them, and with their experiences, they became stronger and stronger, ready to face any challenge that life might throw at them.
WWell, that doesn't apply with SPJ Phoebus Because they have Facebook posts about the things that are special and memorable, also those things that are happening or happened in their life
While you are relaxing, chilling and resting, Phoebus will not let you just skip their post about hilarious moments, important announcements, fool posts or anything that can entertain you
Grade 8 Phoebus, Batch 2023-2024 created a facebook account “Phoeple ng Phoebus” to preserve all of their memories and bonds through their journey as a grade 8
This account includes some of the announcement, list of honors, cores/ funny moments, trivia, poll, etc Wherein, it serves as their experience in making pubmats, especially in layout; however, they only make it for fun
On the production making of the page, Kyle Andrei V Abdon was responsible in layouting the profile picture that was a book with a pen and torch, the page’s official logo He is the one who created the cover photo of the account
In making the name of their Facebook account, they created the name "Phoepol," a combination of two words which are “People“ and “Phoebus” which means "People of Phoebus"
The color of his layouts is usually blue, "Blue or to be specific dark blue
that represents knowledge, power, and integrity Which reflects the attitude of the Phoebus and what we can see in their everyday life" said Abdon
According to the class president, Benedict Abuan, they only allowed the officers of the Phoebus sect ion to have access to the page account so that the section could be safe and also to just post the necessary and important things "As one of the person na nagbigay ng idea upang gumawa ng account for our section, dito naipapakita ng SPJ Phoebus batch 2023-2024 ang mga memories and achievements nila o di kaya naman ay announcements
! j p y our minds?
MI think Nakaka-entertain siya kasi noon ay nagpo-post din ng mga Riddles, hugot lines, and quotations As time goes by, dumarami na rin ang followers ng account ng Phoebus Teachers, coSPJians, other students from different programs, and even parents ang followers ng account na yon" mentioned by Mary Joy Maralit
As we slowly enjoy and make more memories We also dont forget to fight the challenges in this Grade 8 journey Even though some of the moments were not posted, we will keep them in our hearts and cherish them forever

Just like Sophia Deguzman, Christine Joyce Nanas, and Fhebie Elize Pabelonia, they mentioned that they had an amazing experience during math pop and that it boosted their confidence Not only that but also during their preparation, they slowly but surely made progress and we were able to teach each member the steps of their dance
With this, the members of Phoebus also expressed their reactions to winning 2nd place
“We prepared for it physically, mentally, and emotionally Even if it looks superficial to others, it is an exercise that requires everyone's cooperation even though there is a lot of schoolwork to keep up with We were able to show our unique talents and how we can handle a complicated situation,” Nanas added
With mathematics, music still roams around and with this “math pop”, showed the relationship of music and preparation at Math Pop and math together Just like the participants of their experiences
One of these is Tathana Angela Padora, a group member who expressed her experience that but even with that, there the event was good
were
they shared in their group
The following day or the day of the competition, their formations as well as their dance were carefully crafted and thought of They recorded their song as soon as they finished writing the lyrics As the competition started, they felt nervous because of the many students watching and supporting their representatives
“I was not expecting a 2nd place win since we were cramming the steps, though being under the pressure we still gave it our all and put as much effort into the performance” Pabelonia stated
The majority of the members claimed they crammed during their preparations which led them to be pressured as well as stressed but besides that, they all stated that it was worth it to join the Math Pop competition
“Yes, I know I could have done better, all of us could have Even though I was the one who convinced them to join with my words I was the one who ended up being nervous, scared and even ashamed of what I did So I think for next and future competitions, I will do better,” Maria Jasmine Samosa claimed
Even with stones of challenges thrown at them, they were still able to achieve 2nd place Like stars in the sky, congratulations to the representatives of Grade 8 SPJ Phoebus that shine bright

Insidetheclassroom wedon't know whatactually goes insidea student's mind You
might not know that your silly jokes, actions, and words offends them
Your classmates who you thought are your friends might hate you behind your back To keep a friendly and healthy relationship with your co-student, we shouldn't normalize this and let it happen
"Communication is the key," they say We need to communicate so that we're aware whether a person is okay with your actions, or if they find it offensive In this case, if you're the person that they're opening up to, you need to be op-en-minded and start changing your actions once you find out that itof-fends and hurts someone's feelings
This happened to a group of students from SPJ 8 Phoebus On a boring afternoon during their 2 hours vacant, they decided to do an open-forum to extinguish their boredom In the middle of the conversation, some cannot handle their tears while expressing what they feel, as they've been bottling up their emotions, and now they're finally given a chance to tell it. But to keep the conversation less heavy, some just laughed it off and apologised to their classmates
This actually shows how good it is to communicate your feelings and how good it is to be understanding as well However, there are consequences in doing this as there are people out there who can't accept someone's criticism about their actions So, in doing things like this, we must be open-minded and know how to lower our pride
Of course, the number one solution to keep a healthy relationship with your classmates is to be friendly Be mindful of your actions and be careful with your words We must provide a sensitive environment not just inside the classroom and school, but anywhere we go. Because having an insensitive attitude who doesn't mind the consequences of doing things might cause a lot of trouble and issues
Thankfully, the class who did the open-forum were all open-minded and acceptedthe criticism they received They were probably feeling guilty and were sad about the things they've heard But keep in mind that the truth hurts "I can tell that some got offended due to the fact na may hindi nagugustuhan ng classmates natin pero it's a 'should' naman kasi they have kept the thoughts
in their head for too long We should just learn to respect people opinion and viewpoints on one another to avoid negative feelings," Althea Ruvey Delos Predes, one of the students from SPJ Phoebus
We should also be careful while expressing what we feel Of course, everyone else has feelings too and they could get hurt as well whenever you're telling them the things you didn't like about them You know, some people aren't aware that they're already hurting you with their actions and words Maybe they thought you were okay with it and thought they were just being playful In short, all of us must be careful with our behaviour
Does communicating actually help?
Well, we can't solve a problem without communication How can we know if someone's okay with our gestures? Communication allows us to understand others It is a way to avoid misunderstanding and it makes relationships stronger "Action speaks louder," but an action without words can also be confusing, right? Nowadays teenagers tend to overthink a lot to the point that one move can lead to misunderstanding, as their minds mess with them thinking they did something wrong,
when in fact, they actually did
This is why we should keep communicating and let a person spill their feelings It can help us build trust, a healthier, and friendly environment
Though communicating your feelings isn't easy for everyone
There are people who prefers to just bottle up their emotions because they're actually afraid that they'll get judged by someone if they let them know what they felt Also, some are afraid that they might get invalidated, so they just choose to not tell them
A sensitive, open-minded, and accepts criticism are the best people to talk to about your feelings To build trust and friendly surroundings, we must be mindful of our behaviour To avoid making a situation worse, we need to understand the situation well and apologise sincerely In this case, a conflict will be solved
To conclude, we agree with the statement: communication is the key However, communication without comprehension is like wasting time talking with a person who cannot understand what you're talking about So, be mindful and open your ears when someone's expressing their thoughts about you In this way, you can keep your surroundings friendly and healthy
AFreedom of Attire
s the month of April begins, we all know that it’s already summer in
the Philippines , In light of the extremely high temperature, the school principal, Joseph Hinanay, declared that both teachers and students can wear fresh and light clothing that is comfortable to protect them from heat, which is a benefit for everyone.
In the suspension of wearing school uniforms, I am glad that both students and teachers have the freedom to choose the clothes they want to wear, despite the hot weather
According to Althea Ruvey Delos Predes, a student from SPJ Phoebus, the implementation is a ‘must’ to let the school, its staff, and its students have the option of choosing an outfit It was very beneficial to the fact that we can wear what is comfortable for us and not the typical school uniform we wear considering the rising heat index.
It is true that it is a benefit for everyone since it is hard to fight the hot weather and wearing school uniforms that are thick, which can help us have access to more air and avoid sweating too much.
This can help us prevent and reduce the risks of overheating and heatrelated illnesses such as heat exhaustion Breathable clothing helps us focus on our studies without feeling sluggish throughout the day.
Despite this, there are still rules for wearing your own attire, such as not allowing revealing tops, excessively short shorts or skirts, and slippers
For me, it is fine because we are going to school and not just in a place where we can wear revealing tops.
We must still wear decent clothes to show respect at our school It's enough to say that they gave us freedom to wear whatever we want, but we still need manners in choosing our outfit
Remember that where we’re going is school, so we need to keep in mind that we still need to pick the right outfit to wear for the right place

For a variety of reasons, a lot of learners love to stay inside their classroom or campus It can be because they want to spend more time with their friends or maybe they just do not want to go home early because of the boredom
they bear with inside their house.
But Quezon National High School recently put in place a policy that forbids staying longer in School. The campus decided to not let their students spend more time inside their classroom after the class session The reason behind this policy is to avoid conflicts and accidents whenever there are no teachers around the learners. But the main reason is to save electricity
Personality I think, this is a good move of QNHS as it has a lot of benefits. It is not just benefiting for the school, but to the safety of the learners as well
If you think about it, It is actually a good idea because students nowadays love to risk something just for fun Having an adult or a teacher around the students is very imporant, as some learners are still very naughty and aren't aware of the consequences of what they're doing. They might cause accidents and conflicts, which might get them in trouble
While in the case of the electricity, it is essential as well for the school because the students of Quezon NHS don't pay for the tuition and electricity bill Well, maybe it is okay to stay, only if the students knows how to properly act and if they don't use electric fans or lights However, some teachers are strict when it comes to students staying inside. In conclusion, by following and supporting this policy, you can help the school to save budget or money and it can be used in other stuffs like providing new chairs, tables, books, etc It can also benefit students as they can avoid getting in trouble.

rojects from teachers always seek the strength and creativity of students To avoid stress you must be mindful of the deadline Losing motivation? That's not allowed here! To achieve your goals, you should be mentally strong
Students from Grade 8 SPJ Phoebus are one of those classes who do a lot of tasks. Layout here, layout there Writing here, writing there But they can't do anything but to do it, because that's what student journalists do
you’ll hear them say "ayoko n co ta th ge b o th st p sc is b ac an n
"Nakakapagod na," "Ayoko na," are the phrases you'll always hear coming out of their mout su th th
High Honor" This is very impressive because they can manage to get those achievements despite the stress they got from the overload projects
"I wouldn't say that I did all my best but it was enough for my satisfaction,
Even if staying late at night can cause you cramps and mental health problems, these students tend to sacrifice their 'me time' just to save their grades But then, after all the stress and pressure they get, it will always be worth it for them. The tears and sweats they gave will be paid off at the end of the 'hell weeks’
BPLAYRESPONSIBLY
eing playful and energetic, sharing laughter and joy, spending time with classmates and friends Most students love to play sports all the time Whether it's PE time or not, they'll play different games such as badminton, volleyball, and basketball If the game is graded, they'll play Well, even if it's not, they will
Inside the campus of Quezon National High School you'll catch a glimpse of the students enjoying their vacant hours with their classmates playing sports Even under the hot sun, that can not stop them from being energetic, they'll still play, not minding the weather and the sweat dripping off them The class session finally ended? Now they'll run through the grandstand to play
Playing sports even if it's not P E time is acceptable It's okay for the leamers to enjoy themselves with their costudents However, there could also be disadvantages of playing without the guidance of
the teachers You see, some students aren't really that behave to be trusted to play without any guide They might break rules or injure someone and themselves
Take this as an example, a group of students playing volleyball accidentally threw a ball to a teacher This is one proof of how students can cause accidents while playing Sometimes, they can also distract the students who are studying inside the room, learners who don't have a vacant during your time because of different schedules
In playing, we have to be careful with our behaviour Be mindful of your surroundings, you might not know that you're already being too loud You also have to be sure that you're in a place where you cannot disturb others, like when the ball or shuttlecock accidentally goes inside their classrooms
Even with your playmates, you should be mindful of your
actions Maybe because you're enjoying it too much, you might forget to be careful with your moves and accidentally hurt your classmate
I honestly think that in playing sports or whatever, we don't need the guidance of the teacher or adults that much What I mean by this is that the students are already in High School they should be matured
No one is stopping you from playing sports even if you don't have teachers around you It doesn't really matter, what matters is that you know what consequences you will face of how you act Having fun is okay, enjoying is fine Just be responsible and mindful of the things that surrounds you
