Network of interrelated situations
Plazas, geometry and perspective
The old town has a medieval layout, so its structure consists of a network of streets widen, dilate and breaking squares forming a succession of corners and visually rich spaces. This charm is broken with el Mercado de la Cebada. Because of that the geometry of the new spaces is an abstraction of the environment, so that conceptually integrates the building with him.

Hibridation The Bariódromo program seeks to hybridize, spread, mixed with the other programs and users. Symbiotic relationships are created by spatial and visual connections. To don’t stop that movement, the environmental activities and the crowded hours are analyced. Space is fluid and cause relations. Some programs encourages to use others, and by this way all nodes are constantly in action with different intensity depending on the hours.

Structure The structural design is based on four points: 1. Existing cover formed by concrete domes. 2. The lightweight metal frame of Barri贸dromo formed by standardized profiles assembled in work. 3. A new reinforced slab street that acts as a transition between the complex geometry of the project and the existing structure. 4. Finally the pillars of the current grid market. The building and its structure is generated by four freestanding modules, which work together for stability.
Constructon Light skin is thought and adaptable to all structural modules based on standards for insulation panels and a embossed aluminum panel for fa莽ade. A main metal structure, formed by HEB profiles is superimposed a substructure of IPE straps 80 which serve as support for the sandwich panel Ondatherm 90, a double galvanized steel plate with 5cm of rockwool inside. In the coupling that joins the panels Ondatherm fixing anchors secured by a single hitch aluminum panels of dimensions 2x1 m.

The tower is a great management device and water supply for countries suffering from floods annually. It is a hybrid system of housing, agriculture, livestock, public space, management and supply of resources. The collected rain water is circulated through a closed system in which indoor air is dehumidified, the temperature is loweredand, and electricity is generated to supply the building.

Barcelona proposes the creation of a large central park at the intersection of the three main streets, the Gran Via, Diagonal and Meridiana. The proposal seeks to create an organic and natural park, born of geographic origin of the city, the mountains, the plain and the delta. The park and its vegetation is expanded through the boulevards and integrates with the orthogonal Cerdá grid.
