Summer in Paxoi
The most typical photo of Paxoi -and one of those undoubtedly occupy the mind every visitor- is that upon entering the ship in the harbor: on the one hand is Gaius (the capital of the largest 7 islands ) and on the other the small island with the monastery of Panagitsa. If you proceed, you will see and the island of St. Nicholas. Port Gaios is relatively small yet very picturesque, while the two other islands in the green colour have the honor of, because it is full of trees. The additional feature of this image is vessels invading the port (especially in August, there is a problem in the parking lot!). It's the ultimate couple-island. If you think about it, of course, that the creation of the island, according to legend, is due to Neptune's desire to find a place for him and Amphitrite, the temperament of Paxos is not at all unreasonable. It is a complex of many very small islands that are green and surrounded by the crystal waters of the Ionian Sea. The roofs of houses is the classic red tile by mentioning island air while yachts dock along the harbor, impart a cosmopolitan style. Leaving Gaius, you can see Loggos, which is built amongst pine and olive trees (ideal for isolation) and in the northern part of the island is the other port of Paxos, Lakka. Also graphic (maybe a little more than Gaius) with tavernas around the pier and the paved narrow. To go from Gaios, Lakka or Loggos not take much time. In fact, to turn around the whole island, it can last a full 40 minutes. Roads are carefully designed and ideal for vehicle machine.
