On the road from Athens to Thessaloniki, a detour to the edge of Larissa will reveal the secrets of a beautiful mountain with picturesque villages. Wonderful nature, important religious monuments, wellpreserved mansions and guesthouses low profile will give you the feeling of hospitality to friends’ house. Just thirty minutes from Larissa, Metaxochori is ideal as a base for sightseeing in Kissavos. Especially mansions (which indicate the edge of the village thanks to the silkworm rearing) and many running waters create a tranquil setting, which honor the suspicious people from Central and North Greece.
2. Mesoropi, Paggaio
Built on the southern end of Paggeo , less than two hours away from Thessaloniki and just 40km. from Kavala, Mesoropi makes you to love it at first glance.
