Nato in Italia nel 1984, si laurea in Architettura - laurea magistrale - presso l'Università degli Studi di Catania nel 2012 con una tesi sperimentarle sul riuso di un vecchio mulino industriale a Palazzolo Acredie (SR). Durante gli studi frequenta la prestigiosa FAUP di Porto e partecipa a vari seminari internazionali tra cui il Seminario internazionale di Lisbona. Nel 2011 collabora con lo studio Zonarimozione Arch Lab, con sede tra Vittoria (RG), Milano e Mosca. Subito dopo la laurea trascorre 6 mesi a Barcellona presso la Biennale Europea del Paesaggio in qualità di progettista grafico per la 7a edizione del premio "Rosa Barba" e nel 2013 in qualità di direttore tecnico lavora presso una rinomata azienda di serramenti di VIttoria, la Tech System. Nel 2014 si trasferisce in Olanda dove lavora presso il cantiere navale "Bataviawerf" a Lelystad, raggiungendo traguardi importanti come la ricostruzione dell'albero maestro Fore Fore Top Mast e la realizzazione del vascello Batavia in 3D. Tra il 2015 e il 2016 lavora tra Londra e Zagabria su progetti privati, collaborando con lo studio In Diza jn di Mirjana Mikulec e l'impresa della famiglia Stewart, di origini sudafricane e con sede distaccata in Croazia. Dal 2017 al 2019, rientrato in Italia, collabora in qualità di progettista presso un'impresa edile ragusana, Officine restauro, specializzata nella ristrutturazione di edifici storici.

Short bio Born in Italy in 1984, he graduated in Architecture - master's degree - at the University of Catania in 2012 with a thesis about the reuse of an old industrial mill in Palazzolo Acredie (Italy). During his studies, attended the prestigious FAUP of Porto and participated at various international seminars including the Lisbon International Seminar. In 2011 he collaborated with the Zona Rimozione Arch Lab studio, based in Vittoria (RG), Milan and Moscow. Immediately after graduation he spent 6 months in Barcelona at the European Landscape Biennial as graphic designer for the 7th edition of the "Rosa Barba" award and in 2013, as technical director, he worked for a renowned window and door company in VIttoria, Tech System. In 2014 he moved to the Netherlands where he worked at the "Bataviawerf" shipyard in Lelystad, reaching important goals such as the reconstruction of the Fore Fore Top Mast mast and the construction of the Batavia vessel in 3D. Between 2015 and 2016 he worked between London and Zagreb on private projects, collaborating with the studio In Diza jn by Mirjana Mikulec and the construvtion company of the Stewart family, a South African company with a branch in Croatia. From 2017 to 2019, when he returned to Italy, he collaborated as a designer at a construction company in Ragusa, Officine Restauro, specialized in the renovation of historic buildings. luogo: Ragusa Ibla (Italia) cliente: Privato impresa: Officine Restauro S.r.l. periodo: 2018-2019 Piccolo house è un'abitazione privata nel cuore di Ragusa Ibla, prospiciente la sconsacrata Chiesa di Santa Petronilla e vicina a Piazza Duomo, la piazza principale del centro storico. I proprietari, una coppia di artisti che fino a un anno fa vivevano in una cittadina nei pressi di Como, affascintati dalla bellezza di Ragusa Ibla, famosa in tutto il mondo per le sue preziose e uniche opere di architettura barocca, decidono di acquistare questo immobile, che versava in condizioni di quasi abbandono, ma che è oggi la loro dimora principale. Essa, come tutte le case addossate sul lato Sud di Ibla, beneficia di riscaldamento naturale e di una notevole vista panoramica. La pianta si compone di un tipico "piano dammusi" sotto strada, accostato alla roccia iblea, che è diventato il piano di ingresso principale. Tramite una scala esterna si accede al piano strada, il cui ingresso originario è stato chiuso per permettere la realizzazione di un bagno. Il primo ambiente, con volta in gesso, è stato suddiviso in living-cucina e un soppalco di recente costruzione che funge da filtro per l'accesso al terrazzo superiore, oltre alla camera patronale con bagno en-suite. Ai piani bassi si trovano spazi di matrice professionale - artistica, dove i proprietari possono svolgere i loro studi in tranquillità. 8

location: Ragusa Ibla (Italy) client: Private contractor: Officine Restauro S.r.l. year: 2018-2019 Piccolo house is a private home in the heart of Ragusa Ibla, overlooking the deconsecrated Church of Santa Petronilla and close to Piazza Duomo, the main square of the historic center. The owners, a couple of artists who until a year ago lived in a town near Como, fascinated by the beauty of Ragusa Ibla, famous all over the world for its precious and unique works of Baroque architecture, decide to buy this property , which poured in conditions of almost abandonment, but which is today their main home. It, like all the houses huddled on the south side of Ibla, benefits from natural heating and a remarkable panoramic view. The plan consists of a typical "dammusi plan" on the sub ground floor, next to the Iblea rock, which has become the main entrance plan. An external staircase leads to the street level, whose original entrance has been closed to allow the construction of a bathroom. The first room, with a plaster vault, has been divided into a living-kitchen and a newly built mezzanine which acts as a filter for access to the upper terrace, in addition to the master bedroom with en-suite bathroom. On the lower floors there are spaces of professional - artistic matrix, where the owners can carry out their studies in peace. 10

Duomo house luogo: Ragusa Ibla (Italia) cliente: Privato impresa: Officine Restauro S.r.l. periodo: 2017-2018 I proprietari di questo bellissimo edificio storico situato nella piazza centrale di Ragusa Ibla, appunto Piazza Duomo, sono originari di una città vicina a Ragusa e hanno deciso di ridare vita a questo stabile con spazi di intrattenimento e di benessere per loro, i loro cari e amici, con la possibilità di rimanere sempre a contatto con il bellissimo centro storico ibeo. Essendo un accorpamento di più fabbricati, all'interno vi si trovano differenze di quota che permettono una varietà prospettica da un ambiente all'altro. Al piano primo si trovano le camere da letto e gli spazi aperti di pertinenza dei proprietari con una vista unica sulla vallata; il piano terra, a cui si accede tramite scalinata congiungente Via Torrenuova con Piazza Duomo, racchiude un centro benessere con vasca jacuzzi. sauna e docce emozionali nel lato Ovest, mentre sul lato Est troviamo delle sale di convivio e relax da cui si accede alla terrazza padronale. L'intero piano ha volte a botte in pietra volutamente recuperate e trattate per rendere gli ambienti il più possibile autentici come lo erano all'inizio della loro costruzione.

Duomo house location: Ragusa Ibla (Italy) client: Private contractor: Officine Restauro S.r.l. year: 2017-2018 The owners of this beautiful historic building located in the central square of Ragusa Ibla, precisely Piazza Duomo, are originally from a city near Ragusa and have decided to revive this building with spaces for entertainment and well-being for them, their loved ones and friends, with the possibility of always being in contact with the beautiful historic center of Ibiza. Being a combination of several buildings, inside there are differences in altitude that allow a perspective variety from one environment to another. On the first floor are the bedrooms and open spaces belonging to the owners with a unique view of the valley; the ground floor, which is accessed via a staircase joining Via Torrenuova with Piazza Duomo, contains a wellness center with jacuzzi. sauna and emotional showers on the west side, while on the east side there are meeting and relaxation rooms which lead to the main terrace. The entire floor has barrel vaults in stone deliberately recovered and treated to make the rooms as authentic as possible as they were at the beginning of their construction.

Cupola di San Giorgio location: Modica (Italy) client: Public contractor: Officine Restauro S.r.l. year: 2018-2019 La cappella San Giorgio è situata nella navata laterale destra del Duomo di San Giorgio a Modica, Ragusa. La Soprintendenza per i Beni Culturali ed Ambientali di Ragusa, visto il deterioramento degli intonaci, ha stanziato una somma per lavori di urgenza affinchè venissero ripristinati gli stucchi originali e rinforzati le parti di intonaco deteriorate. Sia la mappatura delle specchiature che il rilievo dettagliato della cupola sono stati strumenti utili per la contabilità dei lavori, coadiuvata con la direzione dei lavori.

The department of National Heritage and Cultural Activities of Ragusa, as plasters' decay was constanty incresing, allocated a budget for urgent works in order to refurbish the old stuccos and reinforce the ruined plasters Both, the detailed survey and the frame mapping have been very useful to record in a quick and effective way the progression of work, assisting the planning supervisor in this phase.

Castelluccio location: Scicli (Italy) client: Public contractor: Officine Restauro S.r.l. year: 2018-2019 Il fabbricato rurale di Castelluccio si trova nell'omonima contrada, promontorio alto della cittĂ di Scicli. Ha la funzione di reception e sala convegni e fa parte di un ampio progetto che la Soprintendenza BB.CC.AA. di Ragusa ha pianificato con lo scopo di valorizzare un sito con alto valore storico, sia per la presenza dei resti del Castello, appunto "Castelluccio", sia di aggrotati scavati sul costone roccioso sottostante. Anche in questo caso il rilievo dettagliato Ă¨ stato uno strumento utile per la contabilitĂ dei lavori, coadiuvata con la direzione dei lavori. The rural building of Castelluccio is located in the homonymous district, high promontory of the city of Scicli. Bee(h)ind Art competition location: Marina di Ragusa lead by: Met year: 2017 Met2be Ă¨ una competizione artistica a tema dove decine di artisti vengono selezionati per creare le proprie opere in un giorno. Le opere rimangono esposte sulla facciata del locale promotore della manifestazione e poi vendute all'asta al miglior acquirente. L'opera Bee(h)ind ha vinto il premio Social nel 2017, il tema era l'ape, insetto importantissimo nell'ecosistema ambientale di cui siamo quotidianamente circondati. Met2be is an artistic themed competition where dozens of artists are selected to create their works in one day. The works remain on the facade of the venue promoting the event and then sold at auction to the best buyer. The work Bee (h) ind won the Social award in 2017, the theme was the bee, a very important insect in the environmental ecosystem with which we are surrounded daily.
