alassia Grassetto is a Parisian born actress who grew up living between Paris and Mexico City. Her mother worked for an entertainment magazine company in Mexico and was named one of the most influential women in Mexico in the book Mujeres Mexicanas. Galassia’s father, an Italian engineer born in Padua, Italy was a refugee during World War 2. His family was commissioned during WW2 to protect sacred artwork such as the famous Horses of St. Mark so they would not get destroyed during the war. Her parents met in Mexico and then moved to France, where she was born. By the time she was four years old, Galassia was fluent in English, Italian, Spanish, and French. During her youth she attended a British high school in Paris where she learned British English at school and American English at home with her mother.

About Acting After graduating from Boston College, during a trip, she accidentally found herself on the set of Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates. This urged her to decide to move to L.A. to pursue her life long dream of acting. There, she enrolled in the Meisner Acting Program and felt that she finally found her purpose. Her goal is to work with directors such as James Cameron of Avatar and Joon-ho, who directed Okja. Both directors have created films that are aimed to change the way people think about the environment through Eco-Fiction.

Actor/ Model As an actress she aspires to have a successful career where she is able to open up emotionally to connect with her audience. Her dedication to practicing her craft and becoming a better performer is shaped by a never-ending learning process with different approaches to transform into a character.

Ocean Conservation

Galassia is dedicated to ocean conservation because her upbringing was marked by vivid memories of the ocean. As a diver, she witnessed drastic environmental changes and realized that the oceans were dying. She felt compelled to make a change and looks forward to create her own swimwear line made out of recycled materials found in the sea. Galassia also wants to mix her love for the ocean with her passion for filmmaking by producing a one-of-a-kind concept film about sharks to submit to all major film festivals, including Sundance and Cannes.

HOST Mar A Mar, meaning from ocean to ocean is Galassia’s production company. Producing, writing and starring in Betting on Amanda, with upcoming films, When Today Ends, about social media and the impact it is having on suicide related deaths. Projects in works are a documentary about sharks and shark conservation. Galassia is also an ambassador for Shark Allies
Working with Marki Costello, her hosting coach, has allowed Galassia to host such events as the Hollywood Christmas Parade
