ACACIA GREEN This is a renovation project, with existing residential blocks that should adopt a fresh look. the scope was limited to the landscape and external design elements.The client insisted on all design elements keeping the same theme as the existing apartment blocks.

The entrance was articulated with a rock garden waterfall highlighting the project name ‘‘acacia green’’ sitting on a granite background with timber surrounds. The water from the fall subsequently leads you to the entrace over a bridge and under an open tori line with rich grain teak wood. The teak is also used to line the pergola that provides shaded parking and breaks the monotony of the long driveway. The pergola is periodically punctured by rock gardens with acacia trees and desert plants.

The project exhibits a contemporary approach to interior design. It entails a rich diagonal tapestry of bright shades of orange against white. This reliefed criss-cross pattern was used to accentuate particular spaces like the reception area, and foreground for the waiting area. A cosy and interactive space hence attained with the use of soft colours for the walls.
The reception desk moulds from the wall and directly mimics the angulations of the wall geometrics. To a visitor at the clinic, the design is meant to create a psychological distraction to the mind, away from the experience of encountering the dental chair, hence allowing the visitors to have a calm mindset.

BELLE VUE HOUSE In the heart of Lweza, the house was designed on the hill side with a very steep incline and 150degree panoramic view to lake victoria. It sits on a series of garden terraces accessed from different levels of the house, finally culminating in the infinity pool that overlooks the main garden and the lake. All major rooms were designed to have a lake view and minimal solar heat gain.
