I am also grateful for Zheng Hang and Chong Chen who continue to challenge and inspire me in ways of understanding and appreciating a foreign tradition. This picture-book features 1:50 design detail models of the three combined establishments, focusing on the Salt and Kaiseki Restaurant. A celebration of restaurant establishments along Aneyakoji - dori and Gokomachi - dori

An integral part of creating a unified experience amongst the integrated establishments
Dessert Pavilion
A key point of focus across the shared pond that leads into the kaiseki establishment from its neighbours
Gallery
The interface between the neighbour Izakaya and Salt Gallery are blurred as the Roji Garden extends into each establishments’ land-use and shared functions
Entrance
Aneyakoji - dori opens up to the store front of the establishment, revealing the inner garden networks
Inner and Outer
The sequential movement through the space is emphasized with the adornment of different pavilions and garden sequences throughout the establishment
Roji Garden
Providing for the tea ceremony avenue allows for specific and private celebrations to take place within the intimate garden
Bamboo Screens
Extensive usage of bamboo screens achieve a “filtered� effect as inspired from salt making tradition
Kaiseki Restaurant
