BASIC TUTORIAL ON HOW TO USE ARCHICAD. I will show you how to use the tool box to create a floor plan. How to download furnitures. How to put in lighting and how to create your own surfaces with downloaded textures by using JPEG and PNG files.

STEP 1 Click on " welcome to Archicad " to start Archicad.

STEP 2 Create your own layers to have overview press: cmd + L

STEP 13 To download more furnitures click on " Library manager "

STEP 14 Click on " add " and you will get up the window shown below

STEP 15 Place the chosen furnitures on the floor plan

STEP 16 Double click on " Lamp " to get up Lamp Default setting .

STEP 17 Choose the lamp you want to use and place it in the floor plan

STEP 18 Double click on options and choose Element Attributes

STEP 19 Click on New and tick on Duplicate to make a copy. STEP 20 Click on Search for new textures. Add texture images you want to use. ( JPEG, PNG )

3D DRAWINGS

In this chapter I will show you how to create a cafe counter. You will also be working on the 3D mode to design the counter.

These are the tools you need to create the counter

STEP 1 Use the slab tool to draw an rectangle.

STEP 2 Use the wall tool to draw the back side of the counter

STEP 3 Click on 3D to watch the counter in 3D. Use the Orbit and Pan tool to rotate or drag the object. 16
