Pentecost Jesus is Alive! It’s utterly Astounding! Lent -> 40 days-> Easter -> 50 days -> Pentecost Between Easter and Pentecost, the amazed disciples began to see that Jesus really was the Messiah, the Saviour promised to them. They listened as Jesus explained the meaning of the kingdom, helping them see it was a new gospel, a new movement, and that it was to be announced to the “ends of the earth” (Acts1:8). The disciples were told to wait for help-God would send it to them. And when the Holy Spirit descended on them in power on the day of Pentecost, they turned in an instant from confused and aimless, to daring bold evangelists with a plan.
