ERADICATION OF POVERTY THROUGH ENTERPRISE AND SKILLS DEVELOPMENT Industrial Homes: Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD) is working towards converting all Skills Development Centers (SDCs) into Industrial Homes forming groups of women artisans in each to promote the concept of "one-village-one-product". After the completion of skill development trainings at SDCs, many women join Industrial Homes to reap the benefits of their newly acquired skill. Your HHRD donations provide buildings, essential equipment such as sewing and embroidery machines, along with accessories and running expenses.

Program Components:
Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD) has initiated the IITE program in Kashmir Pakistan, not only to provide better work opportunities but also technical education for men and women. Currently, 22 different courses in computers, heavy machinery operation, automobile, cooking, tailoring, construction, agriculture, and courses in educational are being provided here.

This is done so by providing employable skills, facilitating home-based income generating activities and developing market linkages. The vision of "One Home One Skill" is to sustain the livelihood of every household.

Designed for the socio-economic development of people, especially women from vulnerable and disaster hit communities, this program embodies the approach to eradicate poverty among the most neglected segment of the society. Sustainable means of livelihood are developed by establishing Skills Development Centers (SDCs), Industrial Homes (IHs), and Institutes of Industrial Technical Education (IITEs).

Global Skills Development Program:
Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD) is currently providing training to men and women in 6 countries. HHRD organizes training classes within these Skills Development Centers; these classes include tailoring, embroidery, handicraft, computer, e-learning, heavy machinery, construction, taxi, and cab driving training courses. These centers set out to impart training, organize artisans, specialized products, improving its quality and then marketing these handicrafts.
