Bintou Agne
Payroll/Personnel Technician
Where are you from? Your hometown? I was born and raised in Paris but my parents are from Senegal. How many years have you worked at USC Gould and what attracted you to USC? I have been working at USC for a year and 4 months. Initially, I was attracted to USC because of its reputation of being a school par excellence. Then, I had my interview and I knew it was the perfect fit for me because everybody was warm, welcoming and thoroughly explained my job description. My past experiences of being an international student aided me in being able to empathize and understand the needs of other international and domestic students. What is your job title and responsibilities? What do you love most about your job? I am a Payroll/Personnel Technician. I love that we work as a team, and support each other. It is highly rewarding to interact and help the students and feel the students’ appreciation. What activities/hobbies do you enjoy outside work and why? I enjoy yoga, hiking, reading, and attending cultural and political events. I like the combination of physical, mental, social and spiritual stimulations. Is there anything else you would like to share? I am looking forward to pursuing my Master’s degree at Annenberg. Although I have been accepted, I plan to attend the following September.

STAFF SPECTACULAR A big congratulations to Wendy Willet Wiley on the birth of her beautiful baby girl Zora Mae Willett on August 24, 2016! Baby Zora weighed in at 5 pounds 13 oz and measured 19 inches.
Postcards from… Thomas Callahan: Our first visit in Italy began with Venice, a city made up 117 small islands linked with 417 bridges not to mention it has the narrowest streets in the world, and then taking a water taxi to near by Murano which is famous for making extraordinary glass work. We eventually made our way to Cetona where we met up with the Hamner family and friends for our first night, and the remainder of our stay at the Chienteno Villa with a dinner prepared by a master chef and a taste of fine wines. Margaret Miller: We spent a lovely vacation about 20 miles south of Flagstaff, Arizona in a state campground at an altitude over 7000 feet. The weather was gorgeous with the days being warm but not too hot with cool nights where we could sit around the fire pit. The campground amid tall pine trees was very relaxing, and very clean with big sites. At night we could see the Milky Way with millions of stars—an incredible sight.
