Ain’t Proud Beg! From emotional, heart-tugging stories to cute blind date ads – when it comes to finding adopters for our homeless animals, anything goes! We’ll admit that we’ve certainly come up with some pretty wild ideas to entice potential adopters to check us out, and we won’t be afraid to use a few more if we need to! But then it dawned on us. Animals aren’t meant to be looked at through a cage door or read about on a

website – in order for their wonderful personalities to truly shine through, they need to get up close and personal with people! So, we’re getting our residents out of their kennels and offering up a menu of interactive animal-centered events with the goal of finding them their forever homes. Yep, you got it…we’re literally thinking outside the cage! Story continued on page 2...

Animal Friends is a non-profit organization serving the needs of pets and people since 1943. Our progressive programs have been nationally recognized and include pet rescue, shelter and adoption services, behavior classes, educational and therapeutic outreach and more. Most importantly, Animal Friends is leading the way towards ending pet overpopulation in western Pennsylvania through comprehensive, community-wide spay/neuter programming.
