RESIDENCE DESIGN “A House is a place (…) as physical as a set of feelings. (…) a home is a relation between materiality and mastery and imaginative processes, where the physical location and materiality and the feelings and ideas are united and influence each other, instead of being separated and distinct. (…) a house is a process of creation and comprehension of ways of living and belonging. A house is lived, as well as imagined. The meaning of house and the way it materially manifests itself, it´s something that is created and recreated in an unceasingly way through every day domestic tasks, which are themselves connected to the spacial imaginary of the house” (Oliveira, 2020)

SCHOOL DESIGN Architecture that reflects nature can contribute towards student learning experience by framing the space in which education occurs. Balancing the presence of technology with nature is an important consideration for integrating student engagement and coherence in classroom settings. The use of space in between general learning environments and traditional classrooms is widely known to evoke knowledge sharing and peer to peer learning through the chance encounter and social interaction, where learning through conversation can occur. Learning in corridors and informal settings has been shown to improve learning ability and build relationships in education settings. (Duffy, 2019)

INTERIOR DESIGN Residential interiors are obviously much freer and much more personal for both the interior designer and the occupants than other types of interiors. The dining space should be near the foodpreparation area, and the food-preparation area should be accessible to the entrance used to bring in food supplies and remove waste. The furniture arrangement for a living space must consider the occupant’s life-style and preferences. Open-plan houses work splendidly and beautifully for some people but might not be the ideal answer for a family with many children and a desire for privacy at the same time. (Savage, 2020)

Kitchen | Dining area | Bedroom

Clients name : Vinodh kumar Site dimensions : 18m x 12m Site area : 216 sq.m.

CONCEPT

THEME THEME Contemporary Style - with modern architecture; use of horizontal and vertical lines, emphasis on rectangular forms

Using the design principles: The “Work Triangle” (the triangle made by the range, the sink and the refrigerator). Gathering/entertaining areas in the kitchen should be independent of the Work Triangle. For Dining Rooms connected to the kitchen an open plan, rectangular dining table can entertain a number of family and friends at different occasions. Symmetry in the bedroom very important and need on all three sides the same thus accessible in the same way no matter which side you sleep on.

WORKING DRAWINGS Working drawings are a set of comprehensive architectural drawings which are used in the construction of a building. They can be divided into location drawings, assembly drawings and component drawings. Some drawings include sectional drawings, elevation drawings, doors, windows, electrical, etc. You will understand the arrangement of various parts, walls and layers in a building. The fixing of walls to structural elements can be noticed with these assembly drawings. You will understand how to finish the edges of the opening and fitting of prefabricated components by going through the assembly drawings. (A4D, 2020)
