Measured Drawing documentation
Measured drawings of each historic house were carried to prepare as detailed architectural drawings. Each house were initially identified and categorized. The historic houses with retained characteristics were carefully measured and drawn. The houses were measured to understand the foot print and the relation between open and built spaces.
Cultural mapping
Very simply stated, cultural mapping is understanding a place in space and over time. In other words, in understanding deeply a place, there needs to be a space dimension and a time dimension. Another way of describing cultural mapping is to talk about understanding the layers of a place –their meaning and how they relate and interrelate –in space and over time.
Photo Documentation
It was carried out to record the elements of the historic houses which were/were not possible to be measured in the site. It was not possible to capture the elevation of the houses attached to other surrounding building .However, It was easier to take frontal images in the courtyards.
