2nd project, MSc Urbanism, TU Delft. The new extension of the city is being designed across the river. A ring road is proposed for better connectivity. The Studio deals with looking at 15 students studying small portions of the city,that are to be affected by the introduction of this ring road. My project deals with the islands in the middle of the river which will be developed as a new secondary channel is dug as flood protection. Location wise the site lies in the centre of the ring road infrastructure in one way and yet can still choose to exclude itself. This is what the project deals with, how should the islands be developed as both sides of the river urbanize and ring road criss crosses?
