I am an Architect and Urbanist with over 5 years of experience with projects spanning Architecture and Urban Planning. Through the years, I have eagerly sought to engage with diverse global design/planning practices and approaches. I am particularly interesting in working towards how we tackle the urgent urban problems at scale, imagining not just the solutions that need to be deployed but also the governance structures we need to evolve to ensure those efforts improve quality of life at ground.

The initiative has germinated from the need to tackle the gap in mainstream knowledge and data of the increasingly complex environments we inhabit. There are two on-going projects. The first is ‘Good Air’ which deals with tackling air pollution and another dealing with neighbourhood mapping and street signage to enhance way-finding and legibility.

Neighbourhood Improvement Partnership, Bengaluru ~ [Bottom up planning] [Decentralization] ~
Research Fellow | Centre for public Problem Solving, CPPS (March 2015 - Dec. 2015)
NIP is a bottom up planning initiative to support local community groups to solve their urban problems themselves at the neighbourhood level bringing together finance, government and domain skills. My responsibilities as a project lead included conceptualization and development of the competition over 9 months, along with mentoring close to 90 local community groups converting neighbourhood improvement ideas to executable projects. These were curated such, as to further feed into being scaleable/replicable models for first mile/last mile solutions to address larger urban issues at city scale. (www.citizensforthecity.in)
