The project is a mixed-use public project, developed for primarily the medical tourism anticipated near AIIMS in Guwahati. There are two guest houses, and several wayside amenities for travellers on the National Highway connecting the site to rest of the city. It sits nestled between existing structures and sloped hills near a major highway in and out of Guwahati.
The development of the design aims to create some of the natural ground level differences surrounding the site. While most of the site sits below the highway, a central high road intersects the land into two, creating a visual distinction between functions of the site. Currently, the RCC works are being carried out.
SITE PLAN
View of G+4 VIP Guest House. The entry is on the first floor, contributing to a vertical separation of spaces in the site. The back of the VIP block faces the open road. The view leads into the hills on the opposite side of this road.
View of G+5 General Guest House. The entry faces away from the central road and provides some privacy to a jogger’s park near the centre of the site.
View of the food court. The food court, toilet, utility shop, and parking areas form the system of amenities available to travellers on the highway. View of a utility shop, accessible from the ground floor itself.
