In May 2018, Tokyo based Astellas Pharma Inc. announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved a supplemental New Drug Application (sNDA) for the use of mirabegron in combination with the muscarinic antagonist, solifenacin succinate for the treatment of overactive bladder (OAB) with symptoms of urinary incontinence. These results are also proving safe as a controlled clinical safety study did not demonstrate increased urinary retention in Myrbetriq patients however, there have been other side effects noted.
