Cold Chain is network of refrigerators, cold stores and freezers organized and maintained so that the products are kept at the right temperature. The Philippines colds chain logistics is expected to grow at a CAGR of 5% year on year from FY’2016-FY’2019 driven by high domestic consumption on agricultural produce and on processed food, growing safety concerns and awareness and a continue shift in buying pattern. In Philippines, the cold chains are extensively used for agricultural and horticulture products, aquaculture foods and pharmaceuticals products such as drugs and vaccines. The industry requires government interventions to support the infrastructure for cold storage in order to meet the demand of the people.
