In
building my career I seek a niche in which my talents are pushed, I am
challenged to continuously think and learn, and I may collaborate to build a
beautiful and tactful environment for the public.

The Greek origin for the term proscenium is a facade as
the background for a drama. In performance theory, it is
through this window that the
audience is emotionally carried to another realm.
The stage
becomes the perspective from which we see ourselves; to see and be seen.
The arch is a repetitive element
throughout the design that represents
increasingly
private thresholds, as though embarking the dramatic silent rhythm of the city.

The design allowed users to
attribute various functions to
the “modules. This way the place of mass transit remains a
train station, while the interior spaces
and
functions
are
variable. It remains a neutral
static structure in which each dynamic module fits.
The
modules also relate to the
human scale in proportion and size.
The modular nature of the design
allows
for
efficient
deconstruction and recycling of components to be used in
alternative or future projects. The layout of the building is
dictated through pedestrian circulation and is organized around
a
central
atrium
providing clarity by view of the trains on all floors.

connect and welcome cultural events to take place, such
as performance, music and dining.

This project was intended to
assess the damage to the building structurally
and
historically.
The final product was a report outlining
the
elements
that
define historic character and the structural elements that need
immediate attention to prevent any further loss.

This project was originally an historic Greyhound bus station, rehabilitated
and
designed
to house a new restaurant in downtown Savannah.
A
characteristic element to note: the art Deco facade. original
facade

faced
with blue vitrolux and ivory

Instead, a
glazed cladding was proposed. Construction is well on its
way. This project is one that is leading the revitalization of MLK Boulevard.
