A mission of taste Greek gastronomy as part of the Mediterranean diet is one of the world’s richest. Long before it was related to health and longevity. Therefore, we felt it was our mission to preserve its traditional recipes and introduce its delicious taste to the international public.

Consumers responded to our call and we kept growing just by safeguarding the authenticity of the Mediterranean and Greek cuisine. In the last six decades our company established production facilities in 3 countries, expanded to new international markets and created a wide variety of products.

We now cook 120 different recipes for over 240 labels distributed to customers in more than 40 countries around the world. Hundreds of professionals rely on our products for their art and trade and millions of people appreciate our cooking in their everyday life.

Looking back at where we started, what remained unchanged is our love for good food, our respect for tradition and our commitment to quality.


A history full of tradition It all started in 1957 with Antonis Souliotis, his wife Nota and two traditional recipes they loved to cook and cherish with friends –the vine leaves stuffed with rice and fine herbs and the baked giants beans in a tomato and onion sauce.

Souliotis family named their business “Palirria” -the Greek word for the coastal tides, typical of their small village on the island of Evia. They thought that their craft should cross the borders and be cherished by more and more people. Twenty years later the small family business has become a renowned Greek food producer and exporter.

Today, Palirria feels and acts as a proud ambassador of the Greek and Mediterranean cuisine around the globe! The company manages production facilities in Greece, Bulgaria and China with an annual production output of 17.000 tons for a wide range of traditional ready to eat meals and appetizers. Palirria is the world’s number one producer and exporter of vine leaves stuffed with rice, the famous Dolmas.

From “my sweet home� out to the world One of my most vivid childhood memories is of the food my parents cooked for us. As time goes by traditions like this along with the freshness and purity of the handpicked vegetables or the age-old recipes for the homemade food, seem to fade away. Located in the island of Evia, our Greek plant of 10.500 m2 hosts 180 people in sales administration and production and has a production capacity of 50 tons per day. In this plant we produce our famous dolmas, all pulses based ready meals and innovative ambient product lines like Pasta Mia and My greek meze. We also produce our range of frozen ready meals.

Acknowledged by the governor of Silven County, Bulgaria, for the highest contribution to the economic development of the region, Palirria’s plant extends over 8.500 m2, reaches a production capacity of 60 tons per day and employs approximately 700 people who produce hand rolled stuffed vine leaves and eggplantbased products.

In the Xinjiang province of China, we run a modern facility of 12.000 m2 on 45.000 m2 of farmland where our 550 well trained people -management and production- produce mainly hand rolled stuffed vine leaves and vine leaves in brine. The production capacity of this plant comes up to 27 tons per day.

The Greek Dolma At Palirria we are proud to have mastered the art of making the finest Vine Leaves stuffed with rice and fine herbs, the famous Dolma! For more than 55 years we combine experience with craftsmanship, select the finest ingredients and adhere to the original recipe -that is why our Dolmas is a truly distinguished delicacy that reflects the real Greek and Mediterranean taste tradition.

Hand roll the taste! Grown in our fields which contain the richest soil, our hand-picked vine leaves comply with the strictest European and international regulations for the use of pesticides and chemicals. An early harvest allows us to have only the most tender vine leaves for our recipes.

With the same philosophy we select every ingredient including rice of excellent quality, fresh dill, aromatic mint and finely chopped onions.To wrap the taste of all these ingredients up we gently hand-roll our dolmas one by one.
