Mailer Invite By: Anna Shewmaker
For this project we had to create an mailer invite for an event of our choosing, for my event I chose the Wizard World Comic Con. This project was all about showing what we had learned throughout the semester. First we started out by coming up with a theme that we wanted to have show through on or project. For my themes I waned to go for orderly but still quirky, orderly because there are a lot of unspoken rules for how to conduct yourself at such an event. Quirky was because you meet a lot of quirky and interesting people at these types of events. For the first step we had to come up with hand drawn concepts to show to the class. Theses are the two concepts I came up with.

After the critique I decided to go with the ID Badge shape, so I converted the concept to the computer and showed it to critique again. because of how the folding worked out some text had to be in odd places
This iteration had some color added and some images that are common recognizable symbols of various pop culture items, Legend Of Zelda, Harry Potter, Big Bang Theory, ad a world waring a hat to bring the invite back to the event title of Wizard World Comic Con. I also broke up some of the bigger text blocks ad added more silohets to the last section. At this pint I also started working on the envelope the invite would arrive in.
For the final iteration I chose tomake some fairly drastic changes to the invite and envelope. I changesd the layout, size and colore sceem I also made changes to the text used. for the envelop I changed the size because the origional was to small to be put in the mail. This is the final iteration
