AUTHENTIC EXPERIENCES THROUGH ARTWORK

INSPIRING WORDS

"Exactly like nothing else" MARRIOTT WATERMARK COLLECTION Gensler, Houston + Ann Connelly Fine Art

Distinctive elements within the project elevate the experience of the viewer. Simon Rholene (KEF!) created a four paneled mural in his Berlin studio that was installed within the space like wall covering. One year later, KEF! was able to travel and work on-site to create a live mural extension to the artwork that moved onto the ceiling of the space.

Design Directive VISUAL STORY Building an artwork program that follows the values and mission of a corporate project along with upholding a unique aesthetic requires research and development to create a collection that is an authentic interpretation of the directive. Working closely with project designers and architects, we are able to tell a narrative that engages visitors and employees on a meaningful level through artwork.

ENGAGING THE TEAM

Using a survey, the breakroom mural was selected by the corporate team from a selection of local and national artists. In 3 years, the next vinyl mural will be installed to keep the program fresh and to build artwork stewards within the office.

CULTURE

A collaboration of digital artwork and hand painted pouring technique

Highlighting local industry through silver gelatin prints from legacy photographers

Inclusivity through diverse imagery and media; including unique materials and installations

Sculpted and hand-painted acrylic birds flock the main entrance and suspend into the atrium. Using the inspiration of the shape of the oxbow lake, the birds become the icon of the entrance and set the tone for the artwork program.

INSPIRED BY THE NATURAL WORLD

The indigenous birds of the region became the inspiration of this installation. Innovative in design and implementation; the piece represents the heritage of the area through a contemporary approach.

DIVERSITY OF MEDIA

Vetting artists from across the world, we aim to design experiences that go beyond decorative. Building a non-homogeneous collection starts with research and qualification of professional artists working in new and innovative media. Constructing a layered approach through artwork develops an aesthetic that is unique and identifies with people of all walks of life.

VISUAL LANGUAGE

The Wisconsin based artist creates sculpted metal with painted layers of patina. This piece, entitled "Onomatopoeia" follows the theme of language and interpersonal communication.
